Exactly. And I'm not sure what the OP was trying to say by posting a pic of a puppy followed by Hitler. Didn't do a whole lot for me.

Of course our brains react differently to different sights, sounds, tastes, touches. That's kinda what makes us human. What I find fascinating is that no two people can have the EXACT same response to a given event. Take this example, for instance - If you and I walk up to a Rose Bush, study it carefully, touch it, smell it, and then record our experience, in some ways what we write may be similar but for the most part we will experience two totally different events. If I am taller than you I might see something you don't see. If the sun gives you better light, you might see something I don't. We might interpret the color of the roses differently, I might reach out and feel the stem, you might reach out and feel a thorn, etc.

What does this have to do with mind control? If you were an expert at it you'd have to take this into consideration, as well as the likelihood that your approach isn't going to impact everyone. Still puzzled what the pics have to do with your argument.

First, let me just say I write this in response for everyone to see past the nonsense.

Quite extensive. You are keen on the mention of the word Manipulate. In greater fact, you have manipluated YOURSELF. You are you, and only you. You feel like people take what you say to heart on ATS? You are likely wrong. The internet, much like this website are slewed with political correctness, and is never a good source to read real human emotion.

Don't let your foolish pride place you above others in any sense. Your choice to 'try' and manipulate the masses is only a greater attempt in trying to manipulate yourself into 'thinking' you have a sense of power. Power, in which is all self-derived.

My suggestion is to try and convince yourself, that your are one with yourself. The more you direct falsehoods toward others, the closer you bring falsehoods to you and your own and what is true to you. I can tell all of which that you write is NOT what you 'truly' believe, but yet a factions of well conscribed literary schemes and self promotion. Yes my good sir, you have been figured out - you may 'think' it is us, but you know it is you.

Peace.

Excellent thread op. Yes we're all being manipulated almost constantly. (Quick reflection on Edward Bernays who must be chuckling in his grave (probable at his Uncle Freud's side)). The thing , as you probably know, s that information of the sort contained in your op actually help bust the hypnotic manipulation bubble - knowledge is indeed the key. Once you know how these things work they lose their efficacy.

Television is the perfect hypnotic tool because it engages both hemispheres of the brain simultaneously and, the less attention you think you're paying to it, the more effective it actually is.....but....for anyone who didn't already know that..... now that you do....you can begin to reclaim your intellect from that 'sewer in the corner of your living room'.

Hefficide,

I read your first two posts. It was painful but I was curious if you would ever post some example where I could see how you were misleading the public. I did not find it and have therefore concluded that you are merely trolling.

Should this thread closed already by now ?
Is there a mod in here ? ...and 60+ flag for something everyone knew.

Dont bother replying, it will make the topic bumped - OP glamour hunting much ?

With world events unfolding faster than we can keep track of good denizens of ATS, I implore you... question everything. Question it all. And look to see if anybody is yanking at your heart strings, your values, your ego your sense of security, or your emotions. If so? Refuse to be manipulated! Fight the good fight.

Why?

In a broader sense every single action is manipulation. Every action. Manipulation is not good nor bad, it's a question of perspective. Even Intentions aren't always clear, they never are.

I could do a dozens of assumptions why you posted such a thread, as well as you (or every other one) could questions these or the fact that I just claim I could but won't do it.

Niklas Luhmann once said "You cannot communicate sincerity, cause it would cause doubts on your sincerity." (I just tried to translate the original phrase.) As speaking of your skills you should be aware of it. Another fact that you claimed is that everyone reads what they want to read. As some appreciate your confession (and may feed you narcisstic personality parts, or your "I want to belong to a group." or "I wanna have redemption." or whatever parts), others say "Tell my something I don't know." and I try to offer a view beyond your view of your beyondness.

The funny part is: It won't change anything for the most of us. And even my reply can be considered as that was "I was programmed" to (by socialisation and early-childhood experience for all paranoids). But - stating on a meta level - it's my (illusion of) a conscious decision.

Like your "confession". You aren't less manipulated than the others, just in a different way. That's the crux "in the game". Best "counter-manipulation-technique" by the way is asking and (!) personal contact. The more information you got, the easier you recognize manipulation. And as stated before: Manipulation is not bad. It's the point of view, who lights it in a different color and fills it with a value.

In "The picture of Dorian Gray" there is a fine definition of "What is good and what is bad" which I cannot recite atm. I can just recommend reading the book.

I know a thing or two about this subject, I have possession of documents which detail mind control and related triggers and the best techniques for such implementation based on scientific and empirical data and analysis but I must say, your presentation was severely lacking....however....that too could have been by design

Indeed, your threads and posts have entertained (manipulated) me, as well as, caused (manipulated) me to lend the casual Axis II diagnosis of Narcissistic Personality Disorder to your repertoire…Congratulations for being just like all narcissists!

Btw, this post is the result of you manipulating me into a validating, but confrontationally normalizing therapeutic technique that NPD sufferers covet. S&F!!!

Bit of a case of delusions of grandeur but that's ok, it's normal round these parts and the warnings were valid enough at least. Human nature is to manipulate, much of human to human interaction involves manipulation, it's only the degree which varies.

Human nature is also for everyone to arrogantly think they are the ones getting the upper hand, most here are going to assume it's the other people who are being manipulated, not them, you included I would guess by all the boasts. You seem to assume you are more clever than the next guy, to me that is a weakness, one ripe for "manipulation". We can all play this game, that's what makes our species so dangerous, and fascinating.

His delusions of grandeur stem completely from the damage to his brain from the amount of sodium nitrate circulating in his blood. Its NOT mental illness, its death-meat addiction side effects.

The other amusing or interesting part of this thread are all of the really super cool snowflakes ( heavy on the flake) that are of the " you didnt manipulate me nice try!" or " you bastage.. youre a bastage cause youre a mod" or the all time favorite " we already know that. You think youre cool cause you said it? Well get a life or a hobby you no life having living in your moms basement bucko...".. mind that crawl out of the woodwork.

You sir, have just broken the first rule of Manipulator Club.
We communicate to manipulate, and we do it poorly, making this mankind's greatest flaw. We speak lies, we write lies, we create lies and put them on film. We lie to our children from birth, teach them about Santa and the Easter Bunny, then let them discover the lie for themselves.
I get more personal satisfaction by teaching a puppy to roll over, than I ever will from manipulating a person, because the latter is far too easy.

OMG say it ain't so....All this time here I thought you were a girl...But it turns out your actually a dude...Now that is some tripy stuff, dude.

Have you ever become compliant, happy, and overly courteous simply because you smelled your favorite food cooking?

Once in a while, mostly while hungry.

Have you ever found youself overly generous and compassionate because you saw true pain in the eyes of another?

Once in a while, when there was true pain in there eyes and not some fake blah.

Is there a particular celebrity who either incites you to hysteria or absolute rage simply at the sight of them or the sound of their voice?

A few I liked like Bruce Le but mostly when I was a kid, and really I in no way worshiped them. Other then that...negative.

Have you ever known a person who knew exactly how to calm or infuriate you with a single glance or word?

No.

Is there a song or film clip that makes you instantly emotional each and every time you are exposed to it?

No.

Oh and by the way cool pictures...I like the cat one, its so cute and yet he looks like he is up to something and means business. All the other stuff you said... Well its kind of like a big "duh" but as the great blind sage Homer Simpson would say "doh"

This thread screams of delusions of grandeur. Anyone can feel empowered or controlling when they surround themselves with the right company. Go meet some people who aren't idiots.

And I had no emotional response to any of the images. The only one that even gave me a thought was the white fur seal where I thought, "I didn't know seals had claws like that."

But good finishing point.
