What do you think, ATS?:

1. I think the political right is terribly desperate to smear Obama because... it's all they've got.
2. I think I need to find out how to get a few of these flags!

I think his policies and actions over the past nearly 4 years have done enough to 'smear' him on their own, as well as the actions of those appointed by him. Particularly w/ respect to the NDAA and the healthcare 'reform' that simply makes it a mandate to have healthcare under the threat of a monetary penalty imposed as a tax.

Greetings, ATS!

FoxNews is reporting that the Obama Campaign has "redesigned" the American Flag.

According to the article,

The Obama campaign is now selling copies of an American flag painting that replaces the 50 stars in a blue field with the president’s campaign logo. “Our Stripes: Flag Print” is being promoted on the Obama campaign website. The screen print is designed by Ross Bruggink and Dan Olson.

The limited-edition print costs $35.

President Obama’s version of the American flag.Another painting resembled an outline of the continental US. The “Our Stripes: Country Print” was designed to look like an American flag, too. Like the other painting, the stars representing the 50 states were removed and replaced with Obama’s campaign logo.

Personally, I'm not sure how I feel about this. I understand its a campaign tool, but it seems so conceited to me.

I don't think this is a huge conspiracy, or maybe it is. What do you think, ATS?:

Eh...here I thought I it was an actual flag. It's a stylized map of the US used as a campaign logo which is has red stripes on it.

Big difference.

It's a campaign tool. A variation on the stars and stripes or red, white and blue that every party uses.

This time next year, no matter who wins the election, it will look outdated. Just like the McCain,Palin bumper stickers you still sometimes see today.

Or this one.

That should be amended to read dogs against Obama. I know my dog is definitely NOT what's for dinner tonight.

It's a sign, people!!! The Pac. N.W. is gonna be washed away by 100-200ft tsunami waves! This will be Obamas sacrifice of 10-20 million lives to The Great One in order to secure a lifetime of power and wealth... Too bad a lifetime is pretty short, and the promise to be included in "The Inner Circle" when the time comes is really just a trick, a play on words... The Innermost Circle of Hell is reserved for people like this. All promises will be kept. Just not how one might expect. Foolish humans... Basking in their minute moment of triumph... But a lifetime on earth is but a fleeting moment in the whole grand scheme of things... Muahahahaaaa!!!!

Seriously though, look at that flag. Where's the pacific northwest? Doesn't that kinda look like a wave of water coming over it from the direction of the ocean? And plus its all blue...? Or.... Maybe Obama will move the nation's capital to the "other" washington? So he put his symbol over it... Or, maybe that's just where the blue part of the current flag is so that's just how they designed it? However, Obama seems to have changed hues... His blue is a little more "watery", if I might say so...

Except Obama ate dog as a child in another country where it's common. Romney was an adult and responsible for his actions right here in America. Now who's the bad guy?

Everyone hating on this is ridiculous, it's political art, a ton of campaigns do it. Can we say desperate for something to attack Obama for?

It isn't even a flag, its a map of the USA.

This man is a monster, and needs to be treated as such.

Because he is from Kenya and is going to put your granny up to a death panel to see if she is worth keeping alive and he redesigned the flag and eats kittens and all kinds of other crap people need to make up to bash him with. I would think if he was such a terrible president, no one would need to make up anything.

Ugh, fox is so pathetic. Here, I'll let Jon Stewart rant for me...

www.businessinsider.com...

Yet you wont say a word about the other networks being in Obamas back pocket?

Shameful ..ignorant and in denial.

Why should anyone say anything about any other networks in this thread?
That seems rather deflective.
Republicans and righties in general seem to have a real disconnect with reality. Any time anyone says anything bad about Fox, a Republican, yadda yadda, you all come in with your "but but but but Obama Obama!!! Whhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa"

Ok, F Obama. Now how does that make FOX news and this story not a huge pile of #?

I guess that means Romney did it too?

And McCain completely destroyed the flag in this picture.

And oh oh, OMG!!!!!

The entire Republican party did it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Or is it possible we can find images like this from both sides of presidential campaigns going back quite a ways.
Anyone on the right willing to step into reality with me for even a moment?

I don't mean to be rude, but do you actually believe this?

Yes? I have a beach front property in Utah I can sell you. It comes with an all-access pass to Mitt Romney's closet.
Surisely!

He is actually selling "Obama flags" too not just the decal, it's $35 and is a desecration of the flag..there are laws protecting the flag...I don't think anyone else in American politics has actually remade the American flag in his own "image" persay.

barackobama.com

Print one out on your computer for "Burn Obama's Socialist Flag Day" Sept 26th.......

Don't get me wrong, I disagree with Obama on almost everything. (Not a fan of Romney, either. But that's beside the point.)

Even as much as I dislike him, I still see this as... just a logo. A piece of art. Not a piece of art that I particularly care for (neither in meaning nor in quality), but a harmless logo none the less.

What makes the image Fox showed you a "flag?"
I have seen all three flapping in the wind.
