It sure was a long day yesterday out here in Palmer, the power was out all day and the wind was relentless. Wind is such a powerful force watching it bend the trees and break them with such ease. The wind has died down today but the rain has picked up quite a bit. I'm sure you saw the garage get swept away by the river a couple weeks ago and it's sad to say the house will go shortly. I live about a mile and a half away from the river and it is pretty high, the water is almost completely surrounding the house by the river and is eroding the bank quickly. I'm beginning to wonder when they will build a barrier to keep it from sweeping the highway away. That's the only road for me to get to civilization. Literally
