Greetings ATS, it's been a while since I last posted on this website, its a pleasure hearing from you as always.

What I would like to shed light on today is of SIGNIFICANT importance. The more I listen to the opinions of the media and of others its painfully clear to me and to everybody else that Romney and Obama are both two people nobody wants to elect. Everybody knows that they will bring no real change and has no interest in the upcoming elections. And its a shame!

It seems like everybody is down and out seeing that Ron Paul was decimated by the system in the primaries. I am a fan of Ron Paul, but did not plan on voting for him. He had the right ideas and real goals but the reason why he didn't have my vote is the exact reason he got shut down in the first place, the Republican Party!
It's painfully clear that both the Republican and Democrat party has been bought out since well before our age.

My question to you, why do you still choose to accept it?

You might ask yourself, I do not except it.. I'm registered as another party or not at all and choose not to vote, or whatever you choose. I used to believe that if we ignored it then it wouldn't effect us. Well guess what, I tend to forget everybody else in the world tends not to appeal to knowledge and grasp the concept of freedom (and that's a damn shame honestly). We're doing a great job as a community as followers of the Path Of Knowledge, but you can only lead the stubborn BY EXAMPLE. And there is no way to conquer corruption in the system then to infiltrate and FOCUS on our goals! We need to start from step one: finding a REAL viable candidate!

I suggest to everybody out there to really think about the ideals of a man most consider brilliant, then consider the same speeches and promises every other Republican or Democrat has in the election season and look at what happens. Regardless of track record, they are still associated with one or the other gang and let's be honest, it would only be a matter of time before something would go wrong. Look at Obama for instance; he spoke of CHANGE like it was all he would bring but the only change he was interested in was Cents and Dollars.

The two party paradigm is a JOKE people! I hate to re-hash on something you already know, but writing in Ron Paul will not work! We would be better off voting for anything other than the two major political parties! And if after hyping our chosen viable candidate, one of neither Rep or Dem history, it will become clear if the election is fixed or not.

And if that's the case, then god speed. Because there is only one other thing left we can possibly do to regain our true sovereign god-given freedoms.

Alone we are little but together we are stronger than anyone could ever imagine.
The clock is running out, we need to make our voice heard now!

Use this thread to share your thoughts on this topic related, viable candidates and what we can do to educate the masses in general not to just be aware but to start acting upon TRUTH!

Peace be with you all - Kingllama

You are preaching to the choir my friend.

Get out there and hand out some fliers with that beautiful post on it.

I am not an expert on politics so I have to ask; does anyone know what happens if the % of people that didn't vote exceeds that of the candidate with the most people behind him? Does he still win by majority? Or does the fact that the majority of the population chose not to vote for either of them get in the way of the election process?

I guess the vote still counts if it's tens of thousands or even say hundreds. And the percentile is rarely shown, regardless, who knows what the real factual numbers are.

I'm considering Gary Johnson, he seems like he has a very level head and sound mind.

I hope for a people's president. That's all.

Whichever candidate gets the greatest number of votes from actual voters in the state, wins that state's electors. Win enough electoral votes and "YOU IS DA MAN!"

Check out GOOH ( Get Out of Our House). I joined a few years ago but they seem not to have gotten the publicity they need to take off here (wonder why).
If you really want to change things, check them out. If enough of us join together, who knows what will happen

I've posted this before.

Green party
Communist party USA (CPUSA)
Libertarian party
Socialist party USA
1) The Socialist Party is a democratic socialist organization. We see socialism as a new social and economic order in which workers and consumers control production and community residents control their neighborhoods, homes and school and the production of society is used for the benefit of all humanity, not the private profit of a few..
2) We see the working class as in a key and central position to fight back against the ruling class and its power. The working class is the major force worldwide that can lead the way to a socialist future – to a real radical democracy from below.
3) We stand in opposition to all forms of oppression including but not limited to racism, sexism and homophobia.
4) We are a “multi-tendency” organization. We orient ourselves around our principles and develop a common program, but our members have various underlying philosophies and views of the world. Therefore we reject vanguardism and democratic centralism.
5) We advocate for independent political action outside the Democratic and Republican parties.
6) Our tactics in the struggle for radical democratic change reflects our ultimate goal of a society founded on principles of egalitarian, non-exploitative and non-violent relations among all people and between all peoples.

It would be awesome to see real socialist take over USA. Good pay, great working conditions, 30h work week, some basic security in life. Health care for the people and not corporations. The whole world would be better off.
Lets see the rich get a real job.
Maybe more real/direct democracy instead of the parliamentary type?
