There Shall Come a Day

There shall soon come a day, when truth and freedom pass away.
Through fear and greed the powers will hold sway;
Oh, there shall soon come a day.

Forced to give to those who take: every single cent I make.
I thrash and scream against the claws that rake;
If only for my children’s sake.

Looking back through history past, I see an era that could not last.
Freedom was earned though those aghast.
Through our elders blood our lot was cast.

Now apathy rears its head, and refuses to honor the angry dead.
The blind do lead through words unsaid.
We shall sleep in this filthy bed.

Thanks, I didn't really know where to put this.

It was kind of a way for me to vent after reading some of the news, and posts.

I normally don't like posting negative things, but I just kind of felt it today.
