I've checked around and did not see this story posted yet (AMAZING). Pardon me if it has already been shared

This is the stuff that we have been talking about since Obama cinched up the election in 2008. So, you have to wonder how long this type of manipulation has been going on. This goes way deeper than simple candidate bias. This is manipulation of facts and deliberate ignorance of the truth and above all direct threats against the press. Thank the influence of Soros for this new type of Censorship....

Internal Department of Justice emails obtained by The Daily Caller show Attorney General Eric Holder’s communications staff has collaborated with the left-wing advocacy group Media Matters for America in an attempt to quell news stories about scandals plaguing Holder and America’s top law enforcement agency.

Dozens of pages of emails between DOJ Office of Public Affairs Director Tracy Schmaler and Media Matters staffers show Schmaler, Holder’s top press defender, working with Media Matters to attack reporters covering DOJ scandals. TheDC obtained the emails through a Freedom of Information Act request.

This revelation is simply stunning....

Emails sent in September and November 2010 show Schmaler working with Media Matters staffer Jeremy Holden on attacking news coverage of the New Black Panther Party voter intimidation scandal.

Holden attacked former DOJ Civil Rights Division attorneys J. Christian Adams and Hans von Spakovsky on Sept. 20, 2010 for what he called an attempt “to reignite the phony New Black Panther Party scandal.”

Before Holden posted his article at 7:52 p.m., Schmaler sent him several emails with information helping him attack both former DOJ oficials.

After Holden published that piece, Schmaler sent him an email titled “Great piece…” and continuing in the body of the message, “On USCCR investigation.’” One minute later, Holden responded, writing, “Thanks!”

At 9:50 a.m. on July 8, 2011, Media Matters’ Matt Gertz wrote to Schmaler asking for her help “debunking what I think is a conservative media myth about Operation Fast and Furious.”

At 1:13 p.m., Gertz responded, writing, “Thanks again for your help, here’s the piece” and adding a link to his online article.

An email chain from Sept. 9, 2011, shows Gertz and Schmaler expressing concern over an upcoming Fox News segment on Fast and Furious.

“This is Vanderboegh, who broke the story in the first place and has contacts in the media and at [the House] Oversight [commission]. Any idea what it’s about?” Gertz wrote to Schmaler at 8:29 a.m. that day in an email that quoted conservative blogger Mike Vanderboegh’s website: “FOX Got ‘Em. Huge Gunwalker Story Breaking Later This Morning.”

At 9:19 a.m., Schmaler replied: “So far, no one’s got an idea … unless it’s something that’s already been out. Let’s stay in touch…”

What in the hell is going on here?? One of the DOJ officials involved previously worked for Media Matters.

The Witch Hunt

Throughout the email exchanges TheDC obtained through the FOIA request are numerous examples of Gertz and other Media Matters staff sending the full text of Media Matters blog entries attacking the DOJ’s political opponents in the media.

Among others, Gertz sent Schmaler attack pieces he wrote about Townhall Magazine’s Katie Pavlich, who also authored a book on Operation Fast and Furious; Breitbart.com writers Joel Pollak and Ken Klukowski; Fox News Channel’s William LaJeunesse, Judge Andrew Napolitano, Megyn Kelly, Martha MacCallum, Bill Hemmer, Bill O’Reilly and Sean Hannity; Sipsey Street Irregulars blogger Mike Vanderboegh; DirectorBlue blogger Doug Ross; National Review’s Andrew C. McCarthy; and this reporter.

Hmmmm... Wonder what was left out of FOI request

TheDC filed its FOIA request on Dec. 4, 2011 and the Department of Justice acknowledged receiving it a day later. The request, however, was not fulfilled until Aug. 30, 2012 — far outside the 20-business-day limit to fulfill a FOIA request under the law. TheDC was not given any notification of a time extension in the months this request sat before DOJ acted on it.

Naturally, reps. from Media Matters and the DOJ are not responding to requests for comments on this matter... I wonder who else has been working directly with offices directly connected to the White House in an effort to "steer" the news cycle....???

I'm surprised Holder didn't claim "national security" or "Executive Privilege" and refuse to honor the request. Barack Obama and Eric "Contempt of Congress" Holder really need to share a jail cell.

Live in the "now" it's time to quit acting like school children and accept that Bush's wrongs are not the subject of the OP.

The DC emails were released just days before the Justice Department's Inspector General is scheduled to answer questions before the House Oversight Committee regarding his investigation into Fast and Furious. Will IG Horowitz be asked to explain how a tax-exempt advocacy group like Media Matters has become a propaganda arm of Holder's DOJ?

I won't print a word of it. The DOJ investigating the DOJ and the Bureau of ATF. What's not to believe? Fox also reports exactly what they are told.

The title says it all, but it's worth reading to see how we got the shaft.

Unless I'm missing something here,,, I don't get the outrage. I read the some of the-mails and they seem to be media matters asking the guy questions. Is that not what reporters do? Like an interview...

But the media is controlled propaganda, I'm pretty sure everyone on ATS knows this.

If it s not government then it is corporations;

Fox Accused Of Failing To Disclose Contributors’ Ties To Romney Campaign

In fact, conflict of interest issues are endemic in the cable news industry, and the occasional failure to disclose is by no means exclusive to Fox. In 2008, the New York Times ran a piece exposing how all the networks failed to disclose their military analysts’ ties to military contractors with vested interest in the very war policies they appeared on-air to discuss.

During the BP oil spill disaster of 2010, CNN got into hot water when it was revealed that contributors Alex Castellanos and Hilary Rosen had financial ties to the oil company. CNN opted to remove the contributors from any discussions involving the oil spill.

Earlier this year, Mediaite reported that CNN analyst David Gergen disclosed his financial ties to Bain Capital after routinely speaking about and praising the company while on CNN, without ever noting this beneficial relationship.

What is going on is we are not holding there feed to the fire. The press isnt going to. They have no reguard for the law. Power is a funny thing. We also have a problem with sources, the left leaning think the rights sources are wrong and the right leaning think the lefts sources are wrong. So we cant trust sources anymore? All sources are lies? And yet there are no law suits. Who was it that said "I love it when a plan comes togather."

"The Proof is in the pudding" - I dont really get this saying, but it came to mind once i finished reading the post.

The proof is in the 'putting' as what one puts forth.
It's fascinating to study the origins of words/allusions throughout the course of history.
Prefer sYmbols over words as they inspire one to use their 3rd 'I' for interpretation/understanding/comprehension of the unseen world of meaning. ie. Santa (Satan) klaus put 'things' before 'communion' fellowship; the point.
The confoundment of multiple languages to further divide/conquer humanity from U.
Ditto for the multiple religions, to rely on the regent of another.

The Truth, when found cannot be divided amongst itself nor explained in one 'word' or another though rather sEEn for what it is, just as when one applies a Natural Law to invent/create something never invented/created before. The wUnder of Creation, I would image-In is the favorite past-time of one's Creator.

So...the Obama administration has nearly all of the alphabet agencies wrapped up tight,
and they have their own media Spin Master too, its nauseating!

Lets see if they can keep the White House staffers hiring prostitutes under wraps!

Probe: White House Staffers Hired Prostitutes

"Three U.S. delegation members that stayed at the Hilton brought prostitutes back
as overnight guests.

One of them was ours (Secret Service) and the other two were White House staffers,"
a high-ranking Secret Service official told FoxNews.com. "We knew very early that
White House staffers were involved."

His ship is sinking and he knows it as do his insiders. They should all start planning for the next phases of their careers. Obama is already looking for a retirement property in HI. So the rumor mill has it. The property in question should be available as of January 2013.....
