I am not going to post the picture again since my thread was removed for being of offensive nature. However i do not think it is against the Terms and condition to talk about it.

If you thought the movie was offensive. It is nothing compared to that cartoon. I expect a lot more to come from that cartoon than what happened after the movie incident.

The french Government must be on Red alert. The defense of freedom of speech by letting Charlie hebdo release that magazine is going to cost them a lot i fear.

All the website that had the picture posted have gone offline.

Freedom should be offensive. The very nature of freedom means that you are free to offend people in expressing yourself.

I want to know where all the defenders of free speech and art are who pop up every time someone decides to cover a crucifix in urine or draw Mary in some kind of porn.

The idea that you will only defend the free speech that offends a largely meek community is what should really be offensive.

I think because it still depicted genitals. Even if they were barely there, there was nothing else about it I can think of that could have 404'd the thread.

Let's face it. Radical Muslims find a swinging gate offensive. They turn being offended into an art form. A particularily ugly and violent art form.

But i do think its silly to get angry over a picture, since all the god of different religion is already made fun of.. what makes Islam so special?.. just like Jews... why is it okay to be "racist" against others but not Jews?

Offensive? I'm not offended at all by that cartoon. It's not because I'm not a Muslim, it's because I refuse to allow a drawing to upset me.
All those photographs of people carrying signs saying "behead" somebody because of the drawing, that I find highly offensive.

I just saw the cartoons. The French are painting g a bullseye on themselves by allowing it to be released. I understand freedom of sPeech and all but man is this one gunna cone back to bite them.

What does it say though if the Muslims do nothing about this cartoon? Would that imply that it really has nothing to do with the west as much as it does their hatred for the USA?

I could probably draw Jesus with ten penis' in his mouth getting gang-banged by all the other Deity's and it would probably turn into a meme - With the odd extremist trying to get me, lol. but if this was done with Mohammed, I'd be expecting death threats and thousands of people trying to trace where I live, burning my countries flag in retaliation.

I saw the cartoon. It's already been posted.

It's not 'offensive'. It's just dumb. Perhaps something is lost in the translation or the French 'get it' better than I do. But whatever. It's not 'highly offensive'. Political cartoons are supposed to make people think. They are supposed to present the truth in an ironic or slightly twisted way in order to get people to see the truth or to get their minds going. This cartoon is disappointing (but not offensive) because it doesn't get a truth out for everyone to think about. IMHO
