I love it! Gave me a good laugh, thanks for that! Kind of ridiculous though, these people really have to get over themselves. I was thinking earlier that the reason they don't want religious satire or people like Rushdie running around is that their "story" has too many holes in it and by talking about it or producing images (which people understand almost instantly) they will lose control of their following.

Violent protests, seriously? Are you muslims really that upset over a comic? I agree that it had to be preplanned being the month of September, perhaps both coincidentally. Murdering innocent lives is not the answer, throwing homemade bombs and rocks at an embassy is not the answer, burning flags is not the answer. If you are a Muslim living in the USA/France and you're upset then you need get the hell out of our countries and deport yourselves back to the rat hole. Take it with a grain of salt and move on, its an opinion of a *minority* not the majority.

There are truly things I think are crossing the line. Showing up at a funeral to disrespect a person during their familiy's mourning ceremony is truly disgusting. I can understand a violent reaction to this. I'd like to think I wouldn't resort to violence but I might in that situation.

Writing an article criticizing the person's life choices ... It might upset people, but you have a right to do so outside of accusing the person of a crime they obviously didn't commit.

Like myself and others have said ... I believe this isn't Christians vs Muslims, it's extremists vs the human race.

If you're gay and you've been told you're unnatural and mentally ill, you have a right to be upset about this. If you're a Christian and you've been told you're a backwards redneck person, you have a right to be upset about this. If you're Muslim and you've been told you're a terrorist, you have a right to be upset about this. If you're a republican and you've been told you're a facist, you have a right to be upset about this.

If you've endured criticism and stayed strong and not resorted to violence I almost feel like you have a duty to be upset about violence as a response to discourse; even discourse written by a complete circus seal clapping moron of a person with no respect for anyone.

If anything this reminds me of Afghanistan and Iraq.

These aren't the middle ages. People shouldn't care what happened then if the culture they're talking about can't take their knowledge and keep it in pace with the changing times. Which Muslims obviously have not. They have gone from being intellectual and cultural leaders, to be being intellectually and socially retarded. In that they haven't evolved, but rather devolved

The history you stated is all and fine and it's commendable that they were able to do what they did. You have to remember though that what they did, and what they are doing now, is all based on the same religion. If this isn't the perfect case in point in how religion keeps humans from progressing as a species, I don't know what is.

If religion wants to remain relevant it has to stay in sync with cultures as they acclimate with the changing times. Religion ( ANY religion), by it's very nature, does not do that. It stays with teachings that were written thousands of years ago and it does not deviate from those teachings. That would be fine if those teachings were writ in such a way as to be timeless. They are not however and the proof is in the instances that we're seeing today.

I think any chance to mock some BS prophet whether it be mohammed or Jesus should be carried out with swift and hearty gusto.

I have a hatred for all religions and especially Islam, Christianity and Judaism.

Mock away I say just like the video from last week I practically fell off my chair laughing so hard. It rang very true though so I dont see why muslims were getting there sandals in a twist.
