Mitt's Magical Mormon Undies: Penn Jillette's Rant Redux

In this (profane) installment of Penn Jillette's Atheist's Guide to the 2012 Election, the Penn and Teller illusionist (and outspoken atheist) sizes up Mitt Romney's religion.

So I think Penn makes a good point in this video. What makes perfectly sane people believe crazy things? If conspiracy theorists even believe in semi-outlandish things they get called nuts, tin foil hats etc. But if someone tells you they really believe in talking snakes they get a free pass? WHY?

It's a good point he and you make.

It touches a bit on The Gut's thread about the Aviary, where they believe that everybody is delusional but it does not have a negative consequence on their lives - such as believing in gods and miracles and magic powers.

He does make a good point. However, he needs to include himself in there. I think he says some bat s*&% crazy stuff, but I still think he's a good guy and not bat s&*% crazy.
