I laugh at threads like this because it really shows what people know and understand.

I doesn't matter if you elect Obama or Romney, wealth is going to be redistributed. Most likely from the middle class in either situation.

Even in a perfect representative republic, wealth will be redistributed for socialist ideas like police, roads, dams...etc.

So you can call people socialists, which many of you do not even know the meaning of, but that does not mean the guy you vote for will not do things that can be defined as socialism and redistribution.

Is it communism to distribute Alaska's oil revenue to its citizens? Why can't the allotted surplus be regarded simply as the people's share? It doesn't have to be muffled with who the money belongs to. That is trickery of the point.

Not everyone has the potential to be those high wage earners. So you can hang your hat on the slogan that 'anyone can be president,' but in reality that is far from the truth.

Most people just want to live an honest and simple life. When government screws that up, what wiggle room do they have?

The premises of the Presidents arguments do not cause me concern.I also believe that if our system seemingly caters to the wealthy that the wealth has to, to some extent get back to the bottom. If we allow our system to be top driven then middle and lower class will never have any prosperity. Call it redistribution of wealth or whatever you have it, but one of the central roles of government is to ensure somewhat of an even playing field. We are at such a point in history though that wealth has been billowing to the top for next to a generation. That flow at some point has to be reversed if we want our country to survive.

none of this matters at all. were these tapes available in 2008. yes they were. does it matter if voters hear these tapes now, no it does not. when the powers that be are sitting in their locker room, laughing their arses off, because most voters are complete idiots, and will believe that no matter what, "their" candidate has got their best interests at heart. they could come out with a story about obama raping kittens and it would not change their view.. the same thing goes for romneys supporters,

Apparently, NBC has decided NOT to play the Obama 'Redistribution of Wealth' audiotape for their viewers.
Their reason? They haven't authenticated that it was Obama's voice yet (Translation: It doesn't fit in with their 'Re-elect Obama' agenda...so they're not even going to try to authenticate it...in order to continue avoiding it's showing).

Funny thing is, that A.P. (and other networks) has already received affirmation from the White House that the audiotape WAS Obama...and thus authentic.

Shame on you, NBC!
