It's always amusing to see Godwin's law come into play.

All this talk about how corrupt our government happens to be. Yes, all governments, agencies, corporations -- hell, any organization, for that matter -- have inherent pockets of corruption, because they run by mere human beings who are flawed by nature.

But when a crime is committed against your person, who is it that you call in a heartbeat? Law enforcement.

When you demand justice for a wrong, who is it that you turn to? Our judicial system.

When a natural disaster occurs, who is it that provides the aid needed to get us back on our feet? Our government.

It's ironic that the very organizations -- nay, people -- we look to for protection are compared to Nazi's on a regular basis.

Indeed.

"We need a new, national (civil) defense force...as strong and as powerful as the military."
Barack Hussein Obama (campaign message)

Remember those above words and also remember that if he wins this election that he will not have any political reasons to inhibit the expansion of his agenda plans (to fundamentally "transform" America). I expect that there will be "home inspections" or audits. It might be modeled after SEC audits of stock brokerages (financial records, etc) but also compliance in "green" and other areas as well including how much food, etc that you have (especially once the "anti-hoarding" laws are enacted).

The first video is hilarious!! The music and the first clip of Obama giving a speech and everybody blindly clapping. "Oh, yes, yes, durrr."

Seriously, a great thread, though. I can understand helping children that are at risk with boot camp type training and discipline, but isn't this something entirely different? They're basically being trained for a life in the military without the choice to grow and evolve at their own pace. I thought being a scout meant camping and outdoor activities? The U.S. doesn't need anymore military personnel.

I cannot believe the nonsense that they're proposing.

Sorry, another edit, but, damn.. this is surreal! Have you ever seen what happens when you give a juvenile delinquent a gun? Go to the most drug infested, crime ridden cities and suburbs of the world. That includes the U.S. Children will never be able to fully grasp the seriousness of war and the actions therein. They'll be ordered to shoot, but won't comprehend what they're doing.

Agreed, but isn't this an entirely different example? Miniature people (or children) armed with assault rifles, pistols, etc. enforcing the 'law'. It seems really extreme :\
