I can't stand rich people. I have been a waiter for almost 13 years. I have worked in REALLY nice places as well as really crappy "stab you for fitty cent" places. I mostly have worked in well to do places.

I hate rich people. Strong word, but I am sometimes actually in a true state of loathing even seeing their faces.

They have really crappy personalities. There is the occasional exception and when they come along they are some of the BEST people you can meet. They are too few and far between though.

I have put up with all sorts of nonsense, comments, and mostly dirty looks from utter fools.

The wealthy are usually self obsessed and narcissistic. They make everything personal and feel like they are being constantly being slighted. When you are nice to them they are fake. When you are less than a freaking phony sniveling slug to them they get obsessed with you and try to get you fired or in trouble.

They get really expensive educations and hang out with real intellectuals yet are more mindless than all the drones they boss around. They never think for themselves. When the most popular socialite amongst them finds something he likes, a style a restaurant, club, they all flock there and mentally pleasure each other with worthless and meaningless comments. As soon as the one or two socialite leaders of the pack get bored of the thing, they all in like manner as before make snide and unfounded critiques about the thing until they ruin it.

I have REALLY gotten to know how money thinks over the last almost decade and a half. They are horrible human beings. I am biding my time until I can get the hell out of my current situation having to cater to them. When I do I will shut them down and be a harsh pain in their ass when they get on their "I am so clever kicks".

If you ever make money, don't join the blob of tards. Be free and stay with your people or you and your kids will become social parasites. Rich people, with the exception of those that worked hard for their just rewards, screw you.

They are social parasites and are the cause of most social unrest.

Jealousy is a curse. Wallow in it!

You want what they got, can't have it and so you cry like a little baby.

Suck it up princess and welcome to the real world. Some have "old Money" but most work hard for it. Harder work with more responsibility than being a mere waiter.

You honestly expect to have the same as them being a mere waiter?

what minimum income per year would you define as being rich?

Have you considered improving your education? If you use the term as rich in the context of how much money or assets you have then you may never be rich.
I am rich yet I have no money, no assets.
Something to ponder maybe

I don't like this jealousy accusation that is thrown at people. Why would one be jealous of a rich person. Money is not the root to happiness. It may make your life easier, but you can't take it with you and you can't buy love or personal achievement.

I thought who am I jealous of. I am more jealous of the Olympic athlete or the marathon runner, the creative. Not the rich..

Hard work can bring you riches, but if they are gained off the back of others or through exploiting others, then how much can you really take credit for.

Dont feel bad dude. I know what you mean.

I think the biggest problems are in developing nations though. We in the west live like kings. You live like a king my friend. Many around the world would kill to be in your shoes.

The rich do take too much but we need to fix the 'developing' nations ( through global minimum wage and stuff ) before we in the west start complaining about ourselves.

Don't ridicule or hate people just because they have money.....

Many people have money because they have worked or studied hard to get where they are in life....

There are good and bad people from every walk of life regardless of how much they have in the bank....

I have nothing, I owe nothing, I have nothing saved in the bank, I will leave this world with exactly the same as what I entered it, I am none materialistic person.....

My mobile phone is 11 years old, my TV is even older and I don't have an ipod, but I do have an iron in the kitchen....

But I have love and the care of friends and a partner, there are many people out there in the world who you see on the news every day who don't even own a pair of shoes....

So think yourself lucky that you are safe, secure, warm, fed and watered.....

no pal, I don't want to be a mindless moron. I have always had nice things. I come from an insane hard working family who always have owned our own businesses. I do now. I don't need to have mega bucks to know how they think and disagree with it. They are all miserable for the most part and spend so much and are such pricks to fill the huge hole in their hearts and souls.

My life is interesting, challenging, and more importantly true. All my friends are so because of me, whom I have discovered beyond the layer of rags on me or the contents of my wallet.

Why would I be jealous? because my wife doesn't cheat on me and I on her because we are both expensive whores, my kids are not drug addicts and brats. Is it because I can't be a jerk to people like a coward and hide behind my material possessions?

Is that why?

Ha!

I am speaking more to the people whose sole identity is their wealth. You can have money but see yourself as a normal person. Like an American VS an average African. Normal, yet some people see themselves as "rich" like that is even a type of person to be.

Then you are not the person I am speaking to. In my OP I made the distinction that some of the wealthy people I have met were the BEST people. I meant it. Most are jerks....sorry, I have met MANY, most were not well adjusted normal and happy people. They were mostly horrible human beings.....so sorry.

EDIT:
You dont know me. Not who you think I am.

Agreed but I don't think the OP is seeing it that rationally. It is pure rant and jealousy of people richer than him.

Still sounds like "child like" jealousy no matter how eloquently you try to put it or phrase it.

jealousy, jealousy, jealousy, jealousy. maybe denial is worse?

So, they can be the worst and the "BEST"?
Also, are you sure you really pay attention to a "rich" person unless the behavior is something you consider "rich"? And in that case, your numbers might be off completely.

I have put up with all sorts of nonsense, comments, and mostly dirty looks from utter fools.

As have "rich" people from people like you?

The wealthy are usually self obsessed and narcissistic. They make everything personal and feel like they are being constantly being slighted.

See above, are you sure, at all?

When you are nice to them they are fake.

So you are telling us you are fake? As you really really hate these social parasites?

When you are less than a freaking phony sniveling slug to them they get obsessed with you and try to get you fired or in trouble.

I guess your job is to be service minded. You are quite biased in your hate to tell how exactly you are behaving towards them?

They get really expensive educations and hang out with real intellectuals yet are more mindless than all the drones they boss around. They never think for themselves. When the most popular socialite amongst them finds something he likes, a style a restaurant, club, they all flock there and mentally pleasure each other with worthless and meaningless comments.

You really are making things up, aren't you?

Maybe your problem should be with the American system, not with people who have money?

If you ever make money, don't join the blob of tards. Be free and stay with your people or you and your kids will become social parasites. Rich people, with the exception of those that worked hard for their just rewards, screw you.

Oh.. so, now rich people are okay? You're only not allowed to get rich for "free", because then you will hate them?

I think that the OP is more addressing the propensity some wealthier folks have towards condescension and seeing workers as inhuman.

As a person who spent most of his career in service industries I can attest to the fact that there are a LOT of people who do not seem to see wait staff, clerks, cashiers, salesmen, etc as human beings - and are very, very rude and insulting towards them, even when there is no call for it.

My personal opinion is that wealthy really isn't the issue - snobbery and a general lack of personality are to blame - as I encountered this same type of asinine behavior from rich, middle, and poor alike. And learned young that the ones who presented themselves as "rich and above me" often turned out to be nothing more than middle classed wanna-be's.

Don't let 'em get ya down OP. Karma has a funny way of knocking folks off of pedestals.

Calm down, please.

You should be happy what you have and make the best of it. alot of "rich" people and then i mean people with alot of money and expencive stuff, are actually very sad and jalous of other people simple becouse they allways want more. not only more money and "power" but more love more happiness. becouse they are addicted to gain. once you love what you have and come to the point you realize you dont need anything more. then you can be happy. and then you are rich, in the true meaning.

yes exactly. I spoke only of MENTALITY.

I myself would be considered rich. Vacations in Europe, Mercedes family car parked outside growing up, private schools, my own business. Yet we never lost touch.....Our mentality was sound.

when I say rich I mean people who identify themselves as rich, and I have met the type that do.

My customers are that type. The kind that think being normal and wealthy are incompatible. Like you are not allowed to be nice and humble just because you can buy most places you frequent or can pay most people you meet what they make in a year for a trivial task out of your caprice.
