Come to Canada. Saskatoon Saskatchewan to be specific. Lots of jobs up here for someone with your skills. The economy is booming and there is construction going on everywhere. More work than there is skilled people to fill the demand. The province I live in has more natural resources than most countries do and TPTB want to start exploiting those resources. So life here will be good for a very long time. A family can actually have a promising future here. Go online to find a job here, become a citizen. I fear things will only get worse in the USA.

I'm sorry, I love the American people, but your country is going down the crapper. Your government is no longer looking out for the people. The USA peaked as an economic superpower and has nowhere to go but down. The American people were sold out by the corporations for cheaper labour in other countries. The manufacturing sector that made the USA an economic powerhouse has all but disappeared. The only thing the USA has going for it right now is its military. That scares the crap out of me and the rest of the world I'm sure.

Wow that sounds really good. Saskatchewan huh ? I'll be looking that up. As that sounds like a winner. Thank you Dark.

I just happen to see this coming way ahead of everyone. Back in 2006 none of you peoples here would have believed me... NONE! Actually when I announced my intentions on one of the forums I was almost laughed at.
So, what I did is to slowly sell everything I had, and in 2009 I moved to Philippines. Not to a big city but close to the jungle, the rain forest. The closest shopping mall is 135 kms away!
The house cost me $40k and I drive $2k value crappy Jeep. Oh, miraculously I do have a slow connection Internet.
My monthly income is only $1k and I live very well or should I say, I am very happy.
And since I am ahead of everyone, let me tell you this: This situation will get much worse as of early 2013 and will culminate in a full blown civil unrest by 2016 and perhaps even a civil war!
DHS is buying millions of bullets for a good reason, they know very well what lies ahead.
Good luck to all of you my friends...

This is a photo of the area where I live.

Sorry to hear this.

What happened to your wife happened to a lovely woman I worked with. A large nation-wide non-profit organization I worked for canned her just a few months before she would be able to retire with a pension. They did it by eliminating her position. No Director needs an Administrative Assistant.

It griped alot off people and some even took the time to write the head honcho at the district office and give him a piece of their mind. After a few months they rehired her.

I suggest you get a letter writing campaign going. If enough people tell them they lost a customer over this they may re-instate her. Nobody wants bad PR. It's in your face time. Call Action News, picket the store and hand out flyers about her story.

Good luck. I'd say talk to a lawyer, but I imagine you've already heard that advice.

sad eyed lady saying keep your chin up and don't give up

Edited to add: Please excuse that I didn't read your whole thread and if what I say is not relevant, know I will pray for you.

Hey man here's hoping things get better for you and your family. Sounds like the Texas lead could be fruitful, but I digress.

I have read several posts that have mentioned the "American Dream." To be honest, I've awakened from the so called American Dream awhile ago and realized it for what it truly is.

The American Dream was conjured up by the people who owned all of the corporations and banks as a dangling carrot to keep people driven trying to pursue wealth, or for some just a nice living. Go to college. Most can't afford it and go into debt. Finish college get a career to pay off student loans and be a productive member of society. Find a wife and buy her a nice expensive diamond (thanks De Beers) ring. Go out sign a mortgage so you can have a nice house for you and your kids. Plan for retirement put your money into your 401k, and send your kids to school was rinse repeat. I know this is cookie cutter path, and there are many ways to achieve your own version of this dream be it a master tradesman, savvy entrepreneur, or whatever.

Look at the popular board games LIFE and Monopoly. Think of LIFE as a micro version of the dream, and Monopoly as a macro version. In the game of LIFE you pick to paths college, or vocational and go through life's ups and downs achieving the American Dream. In Monopoly you're a big time investor and your game is to control the board buy monopolizing all of the business until eventually none of your opponents can afford to operate. I believe this is the other side of the American Dream. I find it ironic how they mock this process and put it in a boards games to "condition" people.

Anyhow that was a crazy rant that I just strewn together and not sure how much sense it made; if any...

I just hope the economy gets better and most able bodied people looking for honest work can find gainful employment and provide for their families.

Huh ! I for one am totally impressed with your rant.

Seriously I love the board game analogy. Epic.

Truth be told, our family hovers dangerously close to the brink of disaster ourselves. "Treading water" comes to mind.

Considering your wife's situation, my work place is using the same sort of tactics to get rid of pensioners/longterm employees. Several have lost their jobs and our workplace will not replace them. The union seems to be doing little to protect them (in fact at least one of the employees being "investigated" in a broad claim from administration is a shop steward! What a way to protect your own own, union). In our situation this tactic is being used as a political manuever to retaliate against and put pressure on another group of relatively union protected job class... a class that you absolutely have to have in order to run this "business". Sorry to be cryptic but I have to watch what I say.

Sociopaths... The problem is sociopaths. Opps, I meant the new popular psych term, antisocial personalities. Whatever. They are in power at all levels. It is in the absolute interest of the intelligent sociopath to seek positions of power in which their selfish, manipulative, and destructive tendencies can climax. The illusion that is crumbling is the facade that they have been upholding to hide their true natures. THAT illusion is fading, by their candor (ie Romney/Ryan). And we are beginning to see them and the effects they have on society, on a big scale... A world wide scale. They are organized. We the people, generally, are not so much. They hide their true motives/modus operandi, or at least they used to. We come on chat boards and broadcast it.

Where are the champions of justice? During the American Revolution it was the lawyers and printers that really got the ball rolling. Did pressure come? Certainly. It escalated, but it also brought grave awarness to the colonists, and helped organize them. And I wonder if that's about where we are at, socially speaking. Unfortunately, we don't have that many of the media (printers) nor lawyers on our side. But we do have the net, so far.

I rant...

Peace be with you and we wish you the best!! Maybe, just maybe, this might be a blessing in disguise?

It's California.

I'm leaving here next autumn.

Nothing in this state works as advertised. If you're rich it's great, if you're a working stiff get used to treading water. It doesn't look like it's going to come back anytime soon. We dug up Jerry Brown, for christsake. He was the one who set the vampire government in motion and Reagan did diddley to stop it.

Absolutely right, we are not an official socialist government. However, the TPTB have been pushing this agenda since the revolutions of Europe. Power and greed assimilates and breeds the yearning for more and more; what starts out as a revolution for the better ends up far worse in the form of an evolved, more efficient system of acquiring power.

I have to agree with Elzon1 in that it will take the dismantling of the entire system to topple and expunge our oppressors.

Randy, I have read alot of your post...I'm truly sorry to here about your troubles. We are in Ohio..It's no picnic here
My city is the half way point from Cleveland and Toledo. Unfortunately we are considered the City that has a lot of crime and Drugs for a population of 35,000 but lately we have been experience quite a number of murders. The factories around here all f--ked our town..My Dad's old factory went to Mexico my father was a old man when it happened no one would hirer him...Most of the other factories change their name and owners everyother week...ei Ford, then Viston, Then another two names I can't remember, and now It has a very cheap looking sign on it that I swear they made so they can take it down fast when they leave... General Motors is now Delfi.... Every time they rehire for these off brand factories they get their workers for cheaper and cheaper. We know people who were lucky enough to receive something called a buy out, only to run out of it in two years , due to not being able to find work, and they still end up losing there house. We have all been moving in together to make it. No one is buying houses in this city, but we do have a adjacent town were the more elite live and from what I hear and read in the paper their city is fine...As the poor get poorer the rich get richer. We have a amusement park in our city, they make me sick, our kids have no jobs and if you go over there all the workers are from different countries here on a work visa that Cedar Point helps them receive. My personal story is a hard one also...I have shared it on here before...It helped to tell it....Good Luck my friend and stay safe.

I don't think I've ever read every word of a single one of my threads. But I have this one. Some posts more than once. This world seems to coming apart. I went to the store today. There was some big fiasco going on about coupons. Coupons no less.

Peace baby !

I am sorry to hear about your troubles Randy, I hope things get better for the two of you.

Listen my friend, Try and Focus in the morning when you wake up on what you two's next step might be. Don't give in, our existence is a brutal world of struggle, but far from what our earlier ancestors had to deal with just to eat one time every day. You must remain strong., that's all who will survive such madness.

Back to my early morning waking up point though. Sometimes, many answers will magnetically be drawn to you that will naturally help to solve your predicament when your mind is fresh and clear. Not always, but if you take my advice I promise that it will help you guys out eventually. I don't claim to have all the answers, but it did help me. Please listen, I promise that it eventually will Randy, it's natural law.

All ' THEY' want is to break us all down domestically, while bringing in even more cheap foreign labor who's people are even more desperate than you or I have ever been in our lives. In order to reduuce the middle classes to the same level as the lower classes, they have to bring down the wages slowly. In this technological era, nobody should be suffering.

Basically, they turn everyone against eachother through class warfare and politically emotional issues all the while completing their raping of the citizens of The United States of America.

However, Let me make myslef perfectly clear, This is far from just an American phenomena.

With that being said, Again, I wish you and your family the very best and if you take anything from me, just use the powers of the Universe to better your situation. Best wishes bro. ~$heopleNation

The so called Elites will be hard hit very soon. As of January 2013 we will have a new wave of unemployed; the boss who fired you in 2012 or in 2011 will be next!
The very last will be the super rich, that means today's millionaires. They'll be telling us their sad story here on ATS very soon. They'll start going down in 2015/2016 and beyond!

Trust me, I know what I am talking about, I have 35 years experience as technical analyst, employed by big brokerage firms. Now bugged off in the jungle of Philippines.
I know what's going on, the boat is sinking and the authorities keep their mouth tightly shut.
The herd will find out the truth too late.

I do know this to be so true and some great advice for you to remind me of. With that I think I'm going to turn in and comfort my wife. You all are so great I just don't have the words to say what I feel right now. Thank you all in a big way.

So they got her for stealing time? Clocking in early when she wasn't at work. I can see her obtaining unemployment benefits, as this could easily be classified as a mistake and not an intentional theft of time. Challenge unemployment, if she was not paid for the extra half hour, then she was not at work. California law is very clear that an employer must pay you for all time you worked. If they didn't pay her, she wasn't at work. They can't fire her. They technically would have to have paid her the 30 minutes for their to be a legitimate issue.

Well be lucky to see the next five years intact as people and families......lotta pain and lotta deaths right around the corner.....But they cant kill us all, and you only die once......
Time to pull out the rag and make definate moves towards re enforcing freedom in this and other countries falling under the bankers agenda..........
Theres a LOT more of us than there are of them........they got the money but we still got the guns......and the numbers.
The US military is waiting for the call of its citizens,,,,and i believe that the military will stand with the people, but the Federal LEOs and Intelligence services will go with the Feds......FBI BATF TSA HS etc.
They will be flying armed drones above JUST like PAKISTAN !
Wait and watch, theres nothing else we can do individually....the spark that ignites the people will be known for what it is by everyone when it is struck!
I stand WITH you.
And the majority stands with you too i believe.......
I dont think there will be worry about foriegn troops because other countries will rise up against the banks and the loss of freedom as well......Dont look for Russians as they will be busy fighting their own insurrection thats brewing.....

While you dont get paid here. I do think that there may be some eternal value to your ability to help and encourage others.

Look at all the replys, just know you would be missed.
