But as a tax payer .. I don't mind helping the society I CHOOSE to live with .. I hope one day if I am in need, I will have the support of my society as I so gladly support them.. when you want to be elite and a "do for myself" kind of person.. go build yourself an island and stop taking my cash =) .. until then.. realize we support you.. so you need to do your part.. lord knows I do mine.. and I do it with a smile because I'm part of a community..

I've been a Jaycee since I was 13 .. community projects and helping my area for as long as I can remember.. a scout prior..

I don't mind helping people either, when they need the help. But we have more and more people who go on the government doles and never come off. The amount of people on disability that are not truly disabled is astonishing. Hell if you use a CPAC machine you can file for disability. Government is to provide only the services we the people cannot provide ourselves.

Go back to the old day when the only way you got welfare was if you were a widow, and orphan or disabled. If you were able body individual it was get off your ass and get a job. And this system worked great until the Democrats changed it in the 1960s under L.B.J. Up until this point the poverty rate was decreasing at a steady rate. Bu when we started fighting the "War on Poverty" and changed the rules, the poverty rate has been steadily increasing ever since.

So I quote the words of Benjamin Franklin:

“I am for doing good to the poor, but...I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. I observed...that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer.”

Of course, no one will read your link.

Well I did, and a few more on the same subject. Romney didn't say anything at all about how to end Israeli occupation of the West Bank. Did I miss it or is he really clueless?

I read it too and it sounds like Romney has the go get em spirit of

Herbert Hoover

WHEN President Mitt Romney wins it will prove that - voter turnout - works!

Just look at what happened during the Gov. Scott Walker recall election.

Just look at what happened during the November 2010 election.

Obama called it a shellacking.

That was Scott Walker, a popular governor who easily won his recall.

Romney is not Walker, not even close.

Romney is the chosen dandidate of the elite, not of the people.

I was a GOP delegate in this last round of primaries, I have friends who were in Tampa. Romney only had about 50% support at his own party convention.

If he wins it's proof the system is rigged.

Two wars and economic housing bubble brought to you by the republicans not that democrats. Last wall street crash took twenty years to get out from. It might take that long again maybe?

Obama, was not likely to to fix the economy in four years and you can not reduce the debt when your economy is as weak as it is now. Raising taxes and cutting public expenditure is the only way to do this. But Americans don't want to pay for their living standards, so American governments just borrow. This can't continue but this a fault of the American way of life, not the the fault of US president.

Fed is useless, and is causing more of a mess. But Obama isn't a economist the advice hes getting is useless that's the problem. Who is giving him advice?

People expect miracles from Obama not that easy and forget about miracles from Romney nothing he says is the truth. Just look how uncomfortable he is when he speaks. Fake. The guy is a billionaire he has no clue how hard is for the working men and women. Get real.

which is why I think this 'secret' tape was probably recorded on purpose, as a way of telling the country what he could not exactly say upfront. When someone recorded romney talking about chinese labor, the media didn't put that on front page. Romney is addressing questions about this video, so while the democrats believe this tape will hurt romney, it really will make romneybots more enthusiastic for someone 'telling it like it is'. So in other words, just more politics.

Do you know what your politicians want? Progressives are ushering in a new era of nanny statism and socialism and dependency on government. Have you read George Orwell's book, "Nineteen Eighty Four"?

And republicans aren't?

Who wrote the NDAA? Republicans
Who wrote the Patriot act? Republicans

And republicans want to get rid of regulations on businesses like BP. They also want to continue off-shore drilling minus all the regulations that already exist! What reality do you live in?

Thought Lobbyists wwrote those laws?

So what way do people want to have it?

Do people have no clue that BP stands for British Petroleum?

Meaning your trying to "regulate" foreign business how neoconish of the left.

classic elitist ignorance.

the personification of entitlement telling a bunch of other rich entitled elitists that 47% of americans aren't entitled to food, a house or healthcare.

i bet he even believes he's entitled to the white house, yet a human being isn't entitled to food.

How exactly is Romney telling it like it is?
Unless you believe that the 47% of people who pay no taxes are all scumbag Obama supporters.

But the funny thing is, that's exactly what he implied when he said that.

The not so funny part is that half of that 47% are Republicans just like him.

But good for Romney for "telling it like it is."
Oh, we see how it is Romney. You're a piece of trash who can care less about 47% of the American public, even if they make up your own party.

Let's not forget where most of his wealth came from: 1)inheritance, and 2)gutting businesses and leaving them to die.

And he wants to talk about entitlement. Seriously beyond words.

Gov. Scott Walker had voter turn out.

The Tea Party will deliver voter turn out for Romney also.

Romney / Ryan will be a winning ticket.

The current Muslim Brotherhood War has assured it.

Romney nailed it.

Romney lived a privileged life. And he honestly believes that every American can and should live such a life like him.

But, he's missing some points. Every American isn't born to rich parents. All don't get an "equal start" in life. Many have no way to get out of the hole.

And the reason for this difficulty, experienced by the poor, is that the rich wrote the laws to maintain the distribution of wealth that exists. I cannot walk on your property. That's a man made law. It's not a natural law. It's a law enforced by men, not nature. Therefore, if I come into this world, born to landless parents, I start out from a different place from others who's parents owned land lots already. The natural wealth is already distributed, and maintained, by man made laws. Those born landless today, have more of a struggle to obtain land, than the pioneers of yesterday, who simply drove their herds further west, until they arrived at an unclaimed spot, and placed their own stake into the ground, fenced it, saying, "this is now mine."

So, if man is willing to accept man made laws that allow the rich to keep their wealth, obtained by inheritance, then how will we compensate those now entering the world, where all the parcels have been distributed already?

What is to stop the poor from simply walking onto the land of the rich, and placing their stake into the ground, re-fencing it, and claiming "this is now mine"?

Two things stop the poor: (1) the police, who the rich hire to protect their wealth, (2) the satisfaction of the poor, whose hunger has been reduced by government grants of food and lodge, which removes the intensity of their motivation to re-fence the already fenced properties.

Obama is trying to protect the rich, by feeding the poor, so that they would not eventually rise up, and take the wealth away from the rich. Romney is trying to protect the rich, by hiring more police, increasing military spending, and strengthening the forces that are needed to keep the two apart.

That's essentially what the election is about.

Do you want to feed the poor, or would you rather hire more policemen?

That's the Democrat verses Republican philosophy.

It doesn't really matter who wins, the end result will be the same. Either all the poor will eventually be hired as policemen, so that they will eventually get jobs, and can pay their bills, but the rich will have to pay more taxes to meet the salary requirements of all those new police. Or the poor will get more government aid, requiring the rich to pay more taxes anyway, except those poor wouldn't then be walking around with "guns" and the "power to arrest" other folks.

In other words, either we arm the poor with food, or we arm them with guns.

But that is exactly it, this is the way the right sees it. I knew that as soon as I saw the clip last night that ATS would be full hi5ing, amens and attaboy's for Ole Mitt. Because that is what the right wing members here tell you day in and day out. This doesn't hurt Romney with his base, this is what they already believe. This will kill him with middle however.
