With all the hype surrounding 2012, the crazy weather we've been having, the doom and gloom about the economy, the earthquake and nuclear disaster in Fukishma, Japan, the threat of war with Iran, the Deepwater Horizon oil spill, the uprising in the middle east ...how can you not be paranoid?

I think once we get past 2012 everyone can breath a smile of relief.
Be optimistic, what will be will be!

I'm planning a 2012 Christmas party on December 21st. I'm going out with a bang just in case the Myans were right.

One doesn't have to be psychic or have "premonitions" to sense that "something" untoward might be on the horizon. This feeling is a rather natural reaction to the turmoil that we find......everywhere.

Our economy is in an upheaval: on a national and global level. This is, in itself quite unsettling.

The political campaign we are currently witnessing is clearly the most divisive one in memory. I know long time friends and even family members who are actually no longer on speaking terms over their political choices. It's unbelievable and, frankly, quite disturbing.

And, of course, every day, the threat of war between Israel and Iran hovers over all of us........ Naturally, this would mean that the world would once again face the terrible prospect of a global conflict....possibly nuclear.

No wonder there are people who might be having premonitions.......

Call it paranoia. However, the prospects that face us in the very near future are not so bright.

I think 2012 is another Y2K: much ado about nothing. I plan to party on Dec. 21.

Read seabag's post and notice the tone: he immediately agreed and knew what I was talking about.

It's really that strong.

It's not paranoia.

It's not anxiety.

It's not needing to get out more.

It's difficult for me to put into words. I hate using the phrase "if you had the feeling you'd know it" because that sounds condescending.

But really, the feeling is so strong and so persistent that you can tell the difference between anxiety/paranoia, etc., and this premonition.

I've said this before on ATS but it fits here quite nicely. I'm 60yo. I grew-up in a middle-class family with no significant issues or problems, not particulalry religious and in a typical small New England town. As long as I can remember, from a very early age, I have had this unshakeable feeling that during the course of my lifetime something really huge was going to happen. This 'Event' had nothing to do with me personally and I could never get a clear idea of what it may be or when it would occur. But these were the main aspects of it:

1. It was unavoidable
2. It was not going to be a pleasant experience. It was going to be very, very difficult
3. It was something we 'had' to go through
4. It was massive in scale
5. Things would be better afterwards

I can't over-stress how powerful this feeling has been and how persistent. It never goes away. I have no mental health issues and never have. Despite the usual collection of personal/family struggles that affect just about everyone, I have to say my life has been quite good. I've been relatively fortunate and am in a pretty good place all-in-all.

But that feeling has persisted and intensified in recent years.

HE GETS IT!

Although I must admit I'm experiencing the opposite of your number five: I DO NOT believe things will necessarily be better afterwards.

However the rest of your list is "Spot On" with what I'm describing.

Mine has only lasted a short time compared to yours, though.

Yes, I've been feeling it, for a few years now.

What I feel is along the lines of a man-made conflagration, such as a war that touches American soil. A while ago, I had posted a thread about a dream of nukes that I had a long time ago. I got a great deal of responses about dreams people were having that were all along the same lines. I have to admit, it surprised me.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

I suppose some could call it "mass paranoia". I tend to think that people are picking up on something negative that will affect us all.

My father used to fear a civil war here in the US, and he stocked up on supplies, and especially weapons. I heard about it all the time way back when, and I never felt it or went along with it. Keep in mind that he passed in 1995. So I pretty much grew up around this "fear" talk, and I never felt any fear before. This is a new phenomenon for me.

It caused me and my husband to leave a large metropolitan area, buy some land in the middle of nowhere, and start stocking up on things we need. Many of my friends are starting to pick up on this fear vibe, and they say they will come out to us (if they can make it), if things turn ugly.

"Fear porn"? I suppose some people will consider it that. I have always felt that going with my gut feeling will never steer me wrong, and it never has. I would rather not feel this way. I worry about my children, my famly and my friends. This is not an enjoyable feeling, therefore it is not like porn. It is more like dreading the inevitable, because people never learn from history.

I keep getting a bad feeling about China. I think that as far off as their eminence seems to us, that they will eventually be placed in a situation where they can not back down. / sooner than later.

They will probably do something to their own citizens that will get the international community at odds with them. Then we will wait for the tipping point. I don't think they fear a nuclear holocaust. They have more than enough installations, population, and emergency infrastructure to survive for many years underground. That makes me suspicious.

I don't know. I have been fighting a bad feeling about them for a while but I think it will develop slowly and erupt abruptly. We are now in the initial stages IMO of the final countdown to a show of cards.

bad feeling.

Can't put it better. #4 is an eye opener to the world. #5 I agree with but this takes years.

Absolutely. And It's not the usual kind of psychic event I'm used to and feels very different. This is, as you say, a feeling that something bad is looking at us, it's right infront of us, it's coming down the pipe,

That's actually "coming down the pike" But perhaps my post is somewhat self-serving. Be that as it may, "loomingness" (is that even a word), seems to be the uniform of the day. It's almost time...

Do you feel you made the right decision moving out to the country? I never want to live in the city again myself. I don't mind going to town and talking to people but I'd rather just stay out here and talk to the deer and cats. At least the deer never verbally say that I am nuts but I know they think I'm a little strange.
When the squirrels and chippies start thinking I am nuts, I may be in a little trouble.

I have had this for years also , it feels like it will be on a massive scale.
It feels both exciting and scary to me , it does feel like once it happens , things will never be the same and that in the long run it will be for the better.

I just hate not knowing....

Don't worry about it, if it happens than it's just about surviving. Our ancestors worried about dying in a war also. People in other countries live in areas where there has always been wars. We'll survive if we are supposed to. I worry more about my kids and grandkids future than of my safety.

From my experience, things never happen when you expect them. The worst disasters of my life hit me out of the blue, unexpected, unannounced and without a warning. Including earthquakes. And every time when I was expecting something bad, things just worked out by themselves. So much for my clairevoyant ability.

I have a feeling of something bad coming our way, but I guess it's because ATS only. The same feeling I have when I watch news, and I don't do it often. I should probably stay away from certain forums for a while.

Normally I'd agree with you about ATS...for me at least...but I've been having this feeling long before I found ATS and part of the reason I found ATS was because of that very feeling, lol.

This.
The feeling has been there, on and off starting a few years ago.

At this point who cares what happens? At least it will be exciting if something does.

It's funny becuse for sure Miniatus the Moderator
above & many others have hit it.
The tension of War is everywhere
Economies are crumbling, little political
false flags are being waged IMO and the list
goes on and on....

I do think as Carl Yung (I believe) G.Hancock
and about every Shaman out there has said about current culture.
We've lost our spirituality and our connection to the Earth,
and it's creatures.

We gotta live cleaner people, no GMO's
way less hydrocarbons (oil) and start
building sh** that'll last. Quality, All sh**.

The good news is the US can lead the way.
Made in the USA can mean that quality
and it can mean green technology.
We can start a comfortably paced green,
peaceful Re-evolution of US and this planet.

If EXXON and you are voting the same,
STOP.

On 9-10-11 it started for me. You see the night befor 9-10-01, I had very strong general feelings of destruction, fatigue and sadness. Which is not normal for me since I am a happy go lucky person. Not to mention me describing a vivid premo about 9-11-01, that I accounted to a handful of people 5 months prior. I damaged their psyches after it really happened. Enough of that, we have finally healed. I couldn't even admit to it up until now.

The day before 911 has been kewl for me for years now. Except for this year. I even posted about it on the tenth at another site. Fissionsurplus must know about it, he posted in the same thread. Yup those same bad feelings that I experienced 11 years prior.

Anyways the other day, I posted in that same thread about a premo of someone dividing bomb ingredients into cupcake wrappers. A few minutes later I looked up cupcake bombs and who would have guessed? Something about in the past, the Brittish switched Al Qaedas bomb recipe with a cupcake recipe. Not certain if it is related, but it certainly is funny...
Who would have known they did something that silly? Anyways, maybe they have some sort of cupcake plot for revenge?
Or perhaps they are making "cupcakes" and don't realize it.

But to sum everything up, I do not have very good feelings about the immediate future. But I am good at pushing those feelings aside, thank goodness. Folks, it is not over.....

I feel compelled to post a me too.

It started from me in late Feb. What I thought were adrenline surges causing palpatations. A feeling of anxiety and fear. But I didn't/don't know what I am afraid of. Whether 2012 comes and goes without incident or not does not concern me. I will be where I will be and what happens is what is suppose to happen. However this anxious feeling and palpatations so strong I take a tranquiler every other day to keep it under control.

As a side note. I seem to be a feeler, sometimes I just know, and have occasional precognitive dreams which always play out although I am not always aware of the full meaning at the time. Birth dreams that I recall completely have been precognitive. March 7, I dreamed I was giving birth to myself and thought it was long overdue. 9 months (which is how long it took for the last one to begin playing out) ends on Dec 7, so I expect it to have culminated by then or begin and play out in a couple of weeks (that is how long it took the last one). Two weeks would be Dec 21.

I have also been plagued with dreams of late that I was back in school but i new i had already graduated yet didn't want others to know I was going through again. I am skipping some classes but I walk in and catch up quickly. The last dream like this, I remembered I was back to get my masters.

Also lots of dreams that I haven't done what I am supposed to do but am congratulating others on doing a good job and pulling things together.

Somethings may seem obvious but I also wonder of the effects on the subconscious relating to all the turmoil and seeming hopelessness in the world. I wonder if it is an ancient memory being reactived.

No, I don't regret moving away from the city. I have always disliked crowds and traffic and noise, so being out in the boonies feels like heaven. My cats don't think I'm crazy. I know this because I asked them, and all 9 of them said I was perfectly sane.

The little bit of socializing I do when I go shopping in town is enough for me. The internet provides the rest of it. Many of the people out here also have a bad feeling of something wicked this way comes. I thought it was just me, but everybody I've talked to in the past two years, including people who have lived out here all their lives, are also preparing.

Nobody knows exactly what we are preparing for, but we all are, oddly enough. I thought I would be the only looney out here, but I found out I'm in good company.
