Extremists go bat crap crazy because someone exercised their right to think / say what they want about Islam while extremists use that very same right to espouse their hatred.

The Police obviously caused the problems. Did you see the footage on Sky News where the muslim asks the complicit media to put the camera on the Police and show what they are doing?

Notice they say 300 and it was a riot? How was it a riot? There were some scuffles that can be blamed on the Police. What do they expect? These are not a bunch of kids at OWS. These people are already angry without riot police poking them with sticks and bunching them in.

And what happened when they tried to all leave? The Police chase them. Because you cant get around in groups anymore can you? They had to leave in groups of threes and fours when that was actually explianed to them.

And why is it 300 haing a riot when channel 9 wants to scare racist Australians but its only 100 when Bob Carr is on Sky News trying to say only a minority has a problem with the US Government and then he goes on to say how crazy it is for anyone to think this has anything to do with the US Government? Is it 300 or 100?

This entire thing is nonsense and its about time that Australia woke up to its stupid self.

So shes basically saying that theese demonstrations have shown that the arab nations / muslim people is alive(awake/aware?). Well (right path, or something).

I think it's important to keep everything in context.

Jihad refers to "struggle", not necessarily "holy war", and some of the definitions in the Muslim faith surrounding Jihad include;


"A commitment to hard work" and "achieving one's goals in life"
"Struggling to achieve a noble cause"
"Promoting peace, harmony or cooperation, and assisting others"
"Living the principles of Islam"

I'm not saying in which context this girl was speaking, but from the quote it could be taken either way.

I think we all run the risk of blowing things out of proportion, and furthering the agenda of the few (radicals), to the neglect of the majority of Muslims who are peace loving.

I also think, in every society, there are radical groups who are a disgrace - whether it's right wing (white) racists, Muslims, or any other subset.

I get concerned when people jump into this issue without really thinking - it's an extremely complex and sensitive one, and if people jump to conclusions it quickly turns into a massive issue.

I've spent time fully encased in the Muslim community overseas, and 99.999999% of them are peace loving, beautiful people; it infuriates me when you see these 18 year old Australian / "Muslims" (and I use that term loosely), using any excuse to run riot and cause trouble.

They are not Muslims, they are common thugs - they don't uphold the 5 pillars of the Muslim faith; and they are an absolute disgrace to their community.

I think we ALL need to see this, and keep the issues separate.

If we can call the police to have an undesirable removed from our houses, we should have every right to remove undesirables from our countries. And, yes, not just the violent ones. All of them.
