Warning [2014WC]

She lay cold and placeless,
still wet from the sweat,
like a portrait in poison,
resulting in death.

Take warning, the next
could be beautiful's best,
wide awake in your scream,
in a terrible red.

No feelings, you'll hate
and compare who you are.
You'll just bleed, and you'll feed
on desire and scars.

Or hold yourself shut
in the space in the walls,
for you'll think there's no threat
where there's nothing at all.

When wanting for leaving
holds will in the way,
start to cry as she's fading,
decaying to gray.

Very nice. Is it the plight of a ghost? Either way I liked it, gave me a feel of the scene.

I really wanted to enjoy your little ditty but sorry I just found it plain weird.. Iam sure you do write some good ones though as you seem quite talented. Oops, sorry Lernmore, my mistake, I did not realize I was in the short story forum. I just saw your heading Warning (2114WC) in recent posts & took a look. Now I know what forum its in, it doesn't seem so weird. My apology.

Sounds like it to me too.

Maybe it's a ghost's prediction for a loved one. Maybe the gray ghost anticipates the arrival of another 'gray' ghost, ie: the death of this loved one.
