Wait, the article speculates about this past summer, up to August, and that period of time is already in the past. I didn't know we were at war with Iran.
This "set up" is "proof" that Obama's foreign policy in the middle east has collapsed in on itself. Promoting the liberation of these states from rogue rulers and harsh regimes have freed a beast that the administration and the world was unprepared to handle.
That $23,240 figure? That represents the amount of money we have given them in the last 63 years. We currently give them about $3 billion dollars a year or about 1/5 of our total foreign aid budget. It's not the huge deal your source led you to believe. It's a little under $10 a citizen each year. Besides, things have changed over the last 8 years.

"Asymmetric warfare" can describe a conflict in which the resources of two belligerents differ in essence and in the struggle, interact and attempt to exploit each other's characteristic weaknesses. Such struggles often involve strategies and tactics of unconventional warfare, the weaker combatants attempting to use strategy to offset deficiencies in quantity or quality. Such strategies may not necessarily be militarized.
The IAEA Board of Governors concluded its third meeting of the year on 14 September 2012 after discussing several key issues and adopting a resolution urging Iran to cooperate with the Agency.
