That was the first thing that crossed my mind when I read this. What does this have to do with Germany or the UK?

I hope the authorities take a leaf out of the British government's book when this all dies down, and they arrest and throw the book at every single person involved. There is no legitimate fight here.

the movie is a smokescreen... suspect its the actions of the west catching up with them... the attacks are too well coordinated to be "protests" ... one more lie for the public in the west to stir them up for war...

In Indonesia, the world's most populous Muslim nation, about 200 protesters vented their anger by chanting "death to Jews!" and "death to America!" in a largely peaceful protest outside the heavily guarded U.S. Embassy in Jakarta.

"We came here because we want the U.S. to punish whoever was involved with the film," protester Abdul Jabar Umam said. "They should know that we are willing to die to defend the honor of our Prophet."

About 200 demonstrators gathered Friday outside the U.S. Embassy in Kuwait and hoisted banners.
In Bangladesh, Islamists tried to march on the U.S. Embassy in Dhaka, and Iranian students protested in Tehran. Earlier in the week, there were protests outside U.S. missions in Tunisia, Morocco and Sudan and state-backed Islamic scholars in Sudan have called a mass protest after Friday prayers.

In Nigeria, the government put police on high alert and stepped up security around all foreign missions, also fearing an Islamist backlash, possibly after Friday prayers.

They will pick any available Western target with direct connections to the US. They will even pick on the Swiss, a nation that has long remained neutral in world affairs. They were the target of protests yesterday in Iran.

Death to the US, Israel and England

TEHRAN -- Expressing anger at the film mocking Muhammad that has triggered protests across the Middle East, roughly 400 young men and women gathered Thursday near the Swiss embassy in Tehran, chanting, “Death to the United States and death to Israel and death to England!”

Its really pathetic isn't it. Throwing their toys out of the pram because things get a little uncomfortable for them. If they were on the true path, then no matter what anyone threw at them, they would shine above all others. Such a shame that they keep on exposing to the world just what they truly are. If they cannot handle other sides of the story being told, then it just shows how fragile their path is. Its not fair to shut out all sides, people need to make an informed decision regarding something as important as religion. If a religion cannot allow another side of a story, a challenge in any form to be presented, then it is obvious they are not the true religion.

Unfortunately, this has been the rally cry, for most extremist groups.

Its hard to figure out, the extremists, from those who want peace. Its hard, because those that want peace, are not hard on extremists, or their extremist views.

bloody amazing... you lot still think its all due to a movie... stop and take a good .. hard look at some of the many reasons behind the anger of the people in islamic countries... 1. u.s support of israel 2. u.s support of dictaters like saddam.. the late shah of iran.. 3. u.s led invasions of iraq... afghanistan... 4. western backed coups in libya.. egypt..5. western wardrums beating led by u.s/israel for an invasion of iran... the list is long ... its over far more than just a damn movie...

Well, personally speaking, i don't have a problem with that. Bloody horrible food. Leave the embassies alone and burn down all KFC's says I!

It certainly isn't...............................One place you would like to think you can feel safe would be an embassy/consulate..................things have certainly changed now..........no ground is safe ground............
