How do you justify the taking of life with the taking of more life? That is just hypocrisy in its most concentrated form. If people want to take the
law into their own hands, then they need to institute a government that allows such behavior. Even the breaking of an unjust law is not necessarily
just, but that doesn't even apply in this case.
What does apply is the law against murder, which I'm sure exists in their country, because the executioner is a murderer, plain and simple. Notice
how the law against murder in any country doesn't state that murder is bad only in certain cases? No, because it is bad in all cases. Killing someone
in self defense is the only exception, as the act was necessary to preserve a life. But that doesn't mean it is just, because it is not, speaking
from my philosophical opinion. They should have detained the man, if they were adamant about doing anything, and taken him to the local authorities.
The killing has to stop somewhere. Justifying murder because of murder just breeds more and more murder. It is absolutely ridiculous. This is what the
law is in place for. You cannot pick and choose what laws you want to obey.
