I have had a few incidences were an item or two has been stolen off my property.

I am looking into some wireless home monitoring devices.
Video or pictures.
Maybe ,well, definitely motion activated.

Thought about some game cams, but more interested in video or live feed.
Any suggestions?

The MIB have been snooping around.

Look into your local and state laws first, you could get in trouble.

But there's all kinds of spy equipment out there. Just do a google and you'll find plenty of sites.

I would use bear traps, but then I would have to deal with the police because I snapped some guy's leg off because he was trying to steal my stuff.
I save the bear traps for when TSHTF .

Looking more into wireless IP monitoring for when I'm not at home.
Like from my Iphone.

For the cameras,or the beartraps.

BTW: I think it's a neighbors kid,a good friend of mine, and I just want proof before I say anything.

If you want to scare off.. use spotlights w/ motion detection (360 view).
If you want to catch.. use DVR video camera w/ motion detection and night LEDs.
Video cameras require more work to set up, more time to review videos, space to store the video files - so can get expensive. I've seen fake cameras that cost $20 and that can work to stop theft - without all the expense and headache.

Plus put a chip in it so you can trace the item to whomever stole it.

A few things started to come up missing on my property a little while ago. I simply stayed up a couple of nights on my back porch with the lights out and sure enough some neighbor of mine was snooping around. I fired off a few shotgun rounds in the air and problem solved. Nothing has gone missing since.

I think the police would understand if you snapped the theifs leg off mid shin (ouch)..well maybe not in this day an age..They might lock ya up for domestic terrorism somehow...As someone said, bright flood lights put in a few key places will light up an awfully big area..They'd have nowhere to run

I might try that out, although I have sat up many a night to see and hear nothing but a deer or two and many raccoon.

I believe this is happening during the day, when I am not at home.
Flood lights,which I do have,would be useless.
My dogs are useless cause they are inside.
