first of all, mods please move this thread if in wrong location! but i think it is!

ok guys,here we go.
i seen a video on you tube that showed a scale model of the little gold planes found in the caves in central and south america. inca,i think.
(you know that lapel pin the guy wears on ancient aliens!)
any way, this guy made a scaled up model, and turned it into a radio controlled 'plane',and it flew amazingly!!!
i looked around for virmanas, but i believe they are from india.
any help would be great!

thanx in advance!
R.

I saw that episode you speak of, but I'm not clear on what exactly your question is.

I have seen what you are talking about. I'm not terribly impressed with small scale models, and I'll tell you why. Airflow works differently at scales.

Actually, I just found a video that might be what you are talking about:

Keep in mind though, we can also do this small scale:

Good luck building a full scale working model.

My opinion is that, while interesting, the sculptures were just birds, insects or fish.

Hi, ancient plane fans.

Don't forget: You can make the horizontal stabilizer, at the back
of the plane, a flying wing. . . making less numerous moving parts.
. . .and the same with the vertical fin, similar to the Blackbird;
why not ?? B-)

Blue skies.
