Keholmes - on the Scud missiles, point conceded. But trying to pin the entirety of blame on France doesn't change the fact that American interests in Iraq are less than squeaky-clean, and that under Reagan the U.S. allowed the sale of "dual-use" equipment to Saddam.

Ah, but what France does is always much worse, isn't it?

About Chirac getting re-elected... France has a different electoral system. If no candidate in an election wins more than 50 percent, the election goes into a second ballot between the candidates who won the most votes in the first one.

In 2002, the Socialist candidate, Lionel Jospin, arrived third in a four-way race between himself, Chirac, another candidate from the right and extreme-right and racist candidate Jean-Marie Le Pen (he got 19 percent to Jospin's 15 percent). So faced with a second ballot between Chirac and Le Pen, the French people obviously descended in the streets and chose the lesser evil - Chirac, who won by 82 percent for that reason.

So that answers your question re why Chirac won in 2002.

Im not saying that they are squeaky clean but only a moron could say that the current mess is a profitable situation.as I know your not, then I also realize your not trying to say that invading Iraq was a decision that anyone wanted. I dont need any blather about the Neowhatevers at this point.

And what France did was much worse.some video games were dual-use several other fairly innocuous things where classified as such..but anyhow it dont matter how much dual-use crap you sell.and France was selling that stuff as well.they sold them a friggin turn-key nuclear reactor, just a tad bit beyond dual-use.kind of like giving a fox a pigeon so he doesnt eat your chicken. Only works till you stop turning over the pigeons.only slightly less stupid then Clinton selling NK a reactor, and Kerry offering to sell Iran a turn-key nuclear reactor.

so, if they so hated himyouve explained one. Now how about all of the others.he I believe has held national stage offices in France about 5~7 times everyone higher than the previous, right?

I like how all these people act as if Bush was the only person who could have handled terrorists in the right way.
Iraq shows in fact that he can not handle anything in the right way.

You know I simply do not agree with what you said about President Bush. It just isn't true. I get so angry with ignorant people like yourself talking so badly of your President.

Oh, and by the way he is still your Re-elected President, lol. I voted for him four years ago and I voted for him this time around. He has done the right job for our country, not like the terrible job Clinton did when he was President.

What isn't true?
That Bush is a liar?
Or that he can not admit his mistakes?
That he divided the alliance against terrorism?
Or that he screwed your economy up?
Or maybe that he made the gap between rich and poor bigger in the US?

Well you just keep living in your little dreamworld, you have deserved the next 4 years by voting for him again.

Well, I have heard all my life that I should not care what everyone else thinks. I shouldn't do something because everyone else is doing it. The United States has voted, Bush won, now it is over. The only reason the rest of the world has a problem with us is the war in Iraq. Have they already forgotten about Hitler? Does Saddam not remind you of him and his evil ways? Personally I think Saddam is a close relative of his! (lol) Anyway, the point I am trying to make here is we should not elect a president because the rest of the world likes him. He is our president, not yours. If you don't like him stay home. Well world, let me ask you this. If you were invaded tomorrow, a massive attack, thousands upon thousands of casualties and dead, who would you want to help you? At least we know Bust does what he says he is going to do.

President Bush promised 3 years and 2 months ago that every terrorist in the world would hear us. He has kept that promise. Saddam may not have been a "terrorist" in the same sense of the word, nut he reaks of evil and helps fund and harbor other terrorists.

The world may not like us now but would they care to go back to 9/11 and pretend it didn't happen? What would the word be like now if all the detainees were free and saddam still in power?

So what's the plan?

I mean we're still going to be $8 TRILLION in debt. We still are no further along in having enough jobs. We are no where near securing Iraq & Afganistan ( you remember Opium Central, USA? Where every official selected gets theri own bullseye ballcap?)

Just wanted to ask before the "joy" of your respective "4 MORE YEARS" chants hardens up & sticks the keys together!

After Australians voted John Howard back in, it would have been very embarassing if Americans had the good sense to vote out Bush. That actually makes me feel relieved.
