I just threw up in my mouth! Man, that was a lot of red. It made down town Chicago look like a communist rally in the Kremlin. I am sorry, but giving out pay raises for poor performance strikes me as odd? I read somewhere that Chicago ranks the lowest in terms of reading proficiency, and these teachers want a raise?

That city will be like another rust belt town in no time. Way to go! The Peoples' Republic of Chicago steams along! Enjoy the corruption, high taxes, crumbling infrastracture, and deficit spending. I suppose the Chicago voter is a sucker for pain? I have no problem with doling out raises, but my problem lies when people demand a raise and have not earned it. I hope this charade is over, and the kids can get back in school?

and a new week begins ... did anyone really think this was going to resolve rapidly ??

personally, i think the union itself should be held accountable and fined for failing to complete these negotiations PRIOR to the start of the new school year.

why should education of the children be held for ransom ??
with more certainty than last week i say ... FIRE all of them, yesterday !!

Gotta love Breitbart.

When any entity holds a public demonstration or march, the supporters who show up will almost always represent a variety of interests and ideals. To associate the teachers union with every group or agenda based organization that came out in support is irrational.

If I throw a neighborhood barbecue and my gay neighbors accept my invitation, it does not make me gay nor does it automatically infer that I support whatever political views my gay neighbors might have.

Guilt by association, in this manner, is a weak argument.

Has it really gotten so bad that we're having to invoke McCarthy's ghost?

~Heff

BTW wasn't McCarthy right though? Ohh right, lefty trash tend to forget that fact.

Can we mind our manners? Lefty trash is not aproppriate. Not just when you are right, especially when you are right.

The declassified Venona decrypts have revealed to the public the full extent and depth of Soviet spying in America and proved that fears of Russian espionage networks at work in the highest reaches of the government were not fantasy but sober fact.

Meanwhile, independent sources from iron curtain Hungary have confirmed Alger Hiss's role as a Soviet spy, just as Russian sources (including his former KGB case officer) have finally definitively established that Julius Rosenberg was a central figure in the Soviet spy network

Why am I not surprised? After all, I would bet that a lot of these teachers, coming from chicago, are loyal followers of their socialist "king", AKA obama.
