While watching Fox News earlier in the Day, they mentioned the video being popular on Youtube... First I ever heard of it was today.

Just seems odd. With the cartoonist thing a few years back, that seemed to build up over time. This happened rather quickly, with a video nobody knew about, on a topic everybody is already walking on eggshells about (South Park a few years back, toyed with the topic, and that in itself caused some controversy).

So the video went viral in the Arab world when it was produced in the US? Hmmmm

You'd think the video would have made the news, before the mobs retaliated...

It's almost as if it took place in reverse of normal events. The mob acted before the video went viral, instead of conventional chain of events with a video going viral then a mob reacting. I'm starting to believe that if it was a false flag, the propaganda piece that was pushed through Arab social sites but missed the important "connecting dot" of the video having to go viral in America first.... If it is a false flag, then the conspirators are idiots or just testing the water for how idiotic the public is to believe said official story.

It doesn't shock me that the film maker doesn't exist. It's not like they can say this film was directed by (name an intelligence agency). So a pseudonym for the creator was created.

Shouldn't everyone be sort of pissed that this seems to be an Israeli produced piece (Jewish investors)? That's giant. They technically produced a piece that they knew would cause the Arab world to start going mad with anger. The piece was fuel for a fire. It was a soft "bomb."

Wow, you hear about whats happening in Egypt??

The CIA and Mossad gathered 500+ Egyptians - all clearly paid by the Zionists - to attack the American consulate.

The lying media is trying to give off the impression that they were Islamist extremists offended by a youtube video..But no...something fishy is going on here....

We must conspirasize a different explanation than the obvious one... Lets think. It was the plan of the Zionists???

It wasn't a big deal until a another right winger translated it to Arabic. Which is when the Egyptian news picked up the story. But because he had to make sure his message got out for the Arab world to see how evil their religion is four Americans are dead and tensions in the Mideast are higher.

The trailer posted in July appears to have attracted little notice. But last week, a second version of the trailer was posted — this time in Arabic. Morris Sadek, an Egyptian-American Christian activist who has been a virulent critic of Islam, began promoting the trailer on his Facebook page, saying that it revealed the "truth" about Muhammad's life.

Speak for yourself. I knew about it.

So the video went viral in the Arab world when it was produced in the US? Hmmmm

Videos that insult Islam go viral quickly in the Islamic world.

If it is a false flag, then the conspirators are idiots or just testing the water for how idiotic the public is to believe said official story.

The point is this. When Christianity is insulted, how do normal people respond? If Judaism is mocked, how do Jews respond? When Islam is made fun of, how do Muslims respond? Is there response justified? Is it reasonable for them to throw fire bombs and climb embassy walls in order to go in, as they're currently doing in Egypt??

This ceaseless and mindless desire to exculpate the Muslim world of any wrong-doing, of being intrinsically fanatical and abusive in ways unjustified by any reasonable standard - to murder when something negative has been said about your prophet - is psychotic.

There is an extremely serious problem in the Islamic world. And it's Islam's fault - it's own theological situation, it's metaphysical occasionalism, it's asharite emphasis on a God of pure will - as opposed to reason (hence why even 'causation' is thought of as blaphemous in the Muslim world, where any intermediary between God and the world - such as a physical law, like gravity - implies a 'dualism' another 'god' besides Allah; These are the issues of Islam.

Christianity had Thomas Aquinas to guide it to where it currently is. Judaism had Maimonides. Islam HAD Averroes and Avicenna, but unfortunately, it's been Al-Ghazali that has dominated the intellectual landscape of Sunni Islam for the past 1000 years.

Islam is a religion of power - of force. If you insult, it unleashes it's power upon you, as they do time and again, yet people seemingly fail to take note of.

‘It Makes Me Sick’: Actress in Muhammed Movie Says She Was Deceived, Had No Idea It Was About Islam

The story of the Muhammed movie which sparked deadly protests in Libya and Egypt gets weirder. The actors who appeared in it had no idea they were starring in anti-Islam propaganda which depicts Muhammed as a child molester and thug. They were deceived by the film's director, believing they were appearing in a film about the life of a generic Egyptian 2,000 years ago.

Sick thing about hATE'rs is they dance on stupid news without investigation.

I found this out this morning and posted it in another thread.

It looks like Sam Bacile is really Nakoula Basseley Nakoula.

What do they already know about this man?

Nakoula, who talked guardedly about his role, pleaded no contest in 2010 to federal bank fraud charges in California and was ordered to pay more than $790,000 in restitution. He was also sentenced to 21 months in federal prison and ordered not to use computers or the Internet for five years without approval from his probation officer.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Jennifer Leigh Williams said Nakoula set up fraudulent bank accounts using stolen identities and Social Security numbers, then checks from those accounts would be deposited into other bogus accounts from which Nakoula would withdraw money at ATM machines.

english.alarabiya.net...

If you look up the document on Nakoula's arrest for federal bank fraud charges, he has many other aliases.

Actually, I don't believe he's "anti-Muslim". I think he's a member of the Muslim Brotherhood trying to push blame off onto Israel. When he was originally interviewed, he said he was an Israeli/American, but now it looks like he's an Egyptian member of the Muslim Brotherhood trying to stir up trouble on 9/11 (IMO).

More like foolish he said that, because besides there being no evidence of such a thing. There are Coptic Christians and Jews in Egypt and guess what they speak Arabic as well. But it must be he is a Muslim and part of the Muslim Brotherhood because they are so scary. So why don't you two geniuses explain to me, if this film is so insulting to Muslims to the point they feel the need to have large protests how one could actually make the film? That would be like a black man filming A Birth of a Nation.

Maybe it had something to do with Nakoula's (aka Sam Bacile) claim that he was an Israeli/American in the beginning??!!

What better cover than to have a Muslim Brotherhood member concoct a film that incites hatred to tick off a bunch of other Muslims/Extremists who are willing to riot in order to have a cause to hide behind?

We've already seen an Al Qaeda member come out in a September 10th released statement asking Libyans to kill whoever was behind the drone attack that killed a top leader in June.

Now we're also finding out that another top Al Qaeda leader from Yemen was killed by a drone attack last week.

Al Qaeda will work with anyone/whoever serves their purpose as well as the Muslim Brotherhood.

These recent incidences work nicely for both of them and gives them something to hide behind.

I mean seriously, what group of people in Cairo protest a film by chanting, "Obama, Obama, WE ARE OSAMA"??!! Who did you think these people were anyway??!!

Hey thanks for the compliment, but I am no genius...

I never said he was part of the Muslim Brotherhood, I merely stated that it was 'interesting' that it was mentioned when I discovered Sam posted in Arabic and not Hebrew. You formed my words into your own machination there didn't you sir/madam, why the hostility when all I am doing is looking into it...

I don't fear the Muslim Brotherhood or Muslims, nor do I have any resentment towards them we are all individuals no matter what social/religious group we belong to, and ultimately we are all part of a family called humanity.

Although I have to call into question the naivety of your closing statement:
"if this film is so insulting to Muslims to the point they feel the need to have large protests how one could actually make the film?"
It's like saying "Why would someone lie to get a result they wanted?"... Good job you're not working in insurance (at least I hope you don't)! "Yeah I know his business was losing money, but why would he burn down the office that had all his records etc in it when he spent so long trying to make it successful" this is why claims are investigated.

I want to close by saying though - I do not think this film was made by the Muslim Brotherhood (my gut instinct)... But really it's too early to say either way, that is why (with an open mind) things have to been investigated.

Here are some more clues from my previous link that led me to believe the Muslim Brotherhood/Al Qaeda are working together to spread this film:

The YouTube account, “Sam Bacile,” which was used to publish excerpts of the provocative movie in July, was used to post comments online as recently as Tuesday, including this defense of the film written in Arabic: “It is a 100 percent American movie, you cows.”

In the English language version of the trailer, direct references to Mohammed appear to be the result of post-production changes to the movie. Either actors aren’t seen when the name “Mohammed” is spoken in the overdubbed sound, or they appear to be mouthing something else as the name of the prophet is spoken.

About 15 key players from the Middle East – from Syria, Iraq, Turkey, Pakistan, Iran and a couple Coptic Christians from Egypt – worked on the film, Klein said. “Most of them won’t tell me their real names because they’re terrified,” Klein said. “He was really scared and now he’s so nervous. He’s turned off his phone.”

The filmmaker lied to his film crew and dubs everything when the film is completed.

The filmmaker calls up the news agencies, claims to be responsible for the film, and is an israeli, with a name that does not exits. That term israeli was meant to serve an international armed conflictual purpose, and to throw the scent off from investigations.

To his film crew, he claims to be a Coptic Christian, YET needed another Coptic Christian Steven Klien as a consultant to keep the theme straight?

The filmmaker is a con artiste and had been charged as one, commits fraud for a living, using aliases aplenty. This is a man who has NO moral scruples to talk about. He would do anything to get a dime, sell his mother if if his soul is not enough.

Thing is, WHO financed this movie?

Not Israeli or alphabetical american agencies or even american lobbies, cos they have better standards than that terrible absolutely unwatchable film by anyone.

Not Klien. Not the Muslim Brotherhood. Not himself. They were all broke.

Not matter how cheap that production was, it does still costs substantial amount of funds to pay film and acting crew, post production, etc, which would run into hundreds of thousands if not beyond a few million.

Then when the movie bombed at an independent theatre on opening day, it was pulled out, and saved for the internet, WITH arabic translation on the significant day of 911, to be picked up arabic radicals in Egypt, Libya, Afghanistan and the rest of the muslim world. Thus Profit was NEVER the intention.

WHO hates America so much today that they would throw sums away to finance such a stupid movie but effective to stoke up hate between brother sunni muslims and christains????

Last I heard a few hours ago what that he was seeking for protection from the LA Sherrif's office, fearing for his life, with the FBI on its way to him.

A con artist is an intelligent man and very often seldom think issues through. He should know that what he had made would be highly suicidal in our political climate. What and who made he accept that job, and now stupidly fears for his life?

The next few days would be interesting, if not horrifying as the dead piles up when the moment of truth arrives

Look at your last quote here. The one by Klein a man widely known for his anti-Islamic hysteria. He doesn't even deny he was a party to making this film. So now all of a sudden you are putting this at the feet of the Muslim Brotherhood when there is no need to. They didn't make the film, they didn't make the trailer. Once the original trailer was posted and didn't provoke attention in English it was translated to Arabic. This man was looking for this reaction. Al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood aren't friendly to one another in any way. Even f they were it does not work by any stretch in Egypt. Why would the Muslim Brotherhood which is the primary political power in Egypt risk that power by attacking or instigating attacks on the US embassy? It wouldn't make sense if they want our diplomats gone all they have to do is tell them to leave.

It makes far more sense that an American "film maker" looking to instigate problems in the Middle East decided that with 9-11 coming up translated an ignored YouTube video to Arabic knowing it would spark protests. And Al Qaeda or some other such militant group decided to use that protest to cover their attack. There is no reason to believe there is any greater conspiracy other than one group of whack jobs made a film to piss people off, and another group of whack jobs used the group of pissed off people to do what they wanted. Either way the entire world keeps getting screwed by the whack jobs.

By all accounts the actors are saying they were deceived.

It's just possible. The violence seems to be a bit to immediate and directed, (all riots were against US embassies), to be spontaneous. Already some are speculating the outrage was inspired, inflamed and mostly carried out, by Islam extremists. To take it a bit farther and say the impetus, or the film, was created by the same people would not be unreasonable. A "false flag", taking a page right out of the west's playbook.

Also it would not be unreasonable to suggest the film was created by extreme members of Christianity or Judaism, to bring about the final conflict, or to insure Israel's survival.

Or maybe it is the work of a lone nut ball operating out of his own agenda, appealing to extremists.

You see the common thread here, extremism. Extremism bad. To paraphrase a popular slogan, extremism in the defense of anything is more than a vice, it's destructive and dangerous Reasonable people need to prevail. Reasonable people need recognize and condemn extremism and those who promote it, no matter from where it comes.

Steve Klein has/had absolutely no idea who he was working with.

In fact, it looks like the title of the film has been changed before...

“Bacile” also claimed in his initial interview with the AP that “The Innocence of Muslims” was shown to a mostly empty theater in Hollywood earlier this year, which has since been pinpointed as L.A’s Vine Theater.

A worker at the theater told FoxNews.com: “The film we screened was titled ‘The Innocence of Bin Laden’ ", adding that the film was in English without any subtitles or Arabic. The worker said it was a “small viewing.” The L.A Times reported it was an “earlier version” of the movie, and fewer than ten seats in the theater were filled.

Another of the film’s promoters, Steve Klein, told The Atlantic that he did not know Steve Bacile’s “real name,” and that they only met once and spoke for about an hour. “He’s not Israeli… His name is a pseudonym,” Klein told the magazine. “All these Middle Eastern folks I work with have pseudonyms. I doubt he’s Jewish. I would suspect this is a disinformation campaign.”

www.foxnews.com...

The question now is, how much involvement did Steve Klein really have? How well did he know "Bacile"? The article above says they only met once and spoke for an hour. Was his job as a "consultant" only to PROMOTE the movie? Just like Terry Jones? Jones didn't have any involvement in making the movie either, but he did try to promote it.

By the way, it was Klein who was quoted stating that the main people behind the making of the movie was from Syria, Turkey, Iran, etc.

Lots of unanswered questions still hanging.

What reason did "Bacile" have to first state he was Israeli? When he admitted to others that he was Egyptian? It doesn't make sense.

Off to do some research on how right-wing extremists got pulled into promoting this film as an anti-Islamic film when it might have originated as " The Innocence of Bin Laden". Very telling I think.

In the wake of the (developing) blowback the media in the west begins the "backspin" on a very carefully orchestrated release of a film that once again insults Islam. There wasn't enough of that going around already. Burning Korans, peeing on combatants, generally bombing and invading countries. Who thinks that this isn't conveniently released into the Arab speaking world around 911 with subtitles seeking maximum effect? Looks like they got it.

And then, just as quick and as planned, the updates question whether it was a Jew who made it or not, whether it was made with its desired intent, whether the entire Middle Eastern world is not mad as hell and wouldn't take it any more. Little too late by now. But good for the western conscious mindset. Oh good we say, they are over reacting.

I heard that YouTube is trying to keep the snippets from the film from finding their way to Afghanistan (good luck). If the media controllers, yes even the internet doesn't want some bit of video to surface, it won't. On the other hand look at the firestorm this one is bringing. Its not over yet.

Now the western powers that be aren't looking for any excuse to invade and start another mideast war by any chance? Might as well be pouring gasoline on the fire.
