My last one was this..

It gets a 5 for having a monster that looks like Homer Simpson.
Best Quote of the movie. "It was dusk. I knew, because the sun was going down."

It's THAT good.

i'm hiding my head in shame and saying that i paid to see "battleship" on cable last week, it gets a 1/5 for explosions and sci-fi angle, besides that it was really really bad.

Watch Glimmer Man last night. Such an old movie, I was hoping it would be better, now that I watched it many many years later. Alas, it was not. Steven Seagul is still as terrible as I remembered.

I rate it 2.7 out of 5 purely for the utter cheese that it is.

Super 8

6/10 for adults
8/10 for kids

This movie is purely for kids, as it was made in honor of Steven Speilbergs movies from the 80's era (Goonies/E.T/stand by me)

So for an adult we've seen it all before and it was quite predictable. But if I was a kid aged 8-12 I would have loved it.

In hindsight, great movie for kids

Snow White and the Huntsman

2/5

Concept was great, but Kristin Stewart cannot act.

The Man from Earth.10/10
The movie is unbelievable, but do not watch if you are very sensitive with religious matters. In a way it reminded me of the debates on ATS.
A university professor reveals to his collegues that he is 14000 years old.The entire movie takes place inside a living room and it might sound boring, but trust me it will blow your mind away.

This is my new favourite movie.

One in the Chamber

I like Cuba Gooding Jr., but this was not one of his best. I gave it a 2 out 5, but hubby liked it. I just want to know who told Dolph Lundgren he could act.

Total Recall sadly. Both, one after the other.

The 2012 one... a 3 maybe if I've never heard of the original. Given that, a 2 tops, being generous.

I then had to watch the 1990 one to wash the foul taste out. 1990 one? A 4.5 easily.

Bourne Legacy.

As I thought the last Bourne was going to be hard to beat.

12/10. Best movie this year so far!

Jeremy Renner is a natural Born Actor.

Silent House

I give it a 3 out of 10

Didn't take long to figure out where this movie was going- like maybe 10 minutes. It's been done...and done... and done many times before.

I wouldn't even give it 3 except the dark basement creeped me out a wee bit (got locked in my great aunt's basement when I was 8).

Don't waste your time on this movie.

There Will Be Blood

"Here, if you have a milkshake, and I have a milkshake, and I have a straw. There it is, that's a straw, you see? You watching?. And my straw reaches acroooooooss the room, and starts to drink your milkshake... I... drink... your... milkshake!"

4.5/5

God Bless America.

3/5 stars. Bill Murray's bro and some high school chick go on a mini shooting rampage gunning mainly for Jersey Shore type reality stars. A bit over the top at times and a leaned a lil to much in one direction.

Sadly the last film I watched was Twilight: Breaking Dawn Pt1, my daughter wanted to see it and we have, although painful for me, watched them all now.
Your 1-5 and 1-10 scales unfortunately do not have the resolution to enable me to rate this film.
I will use the 1-1000000000000 scale for the sake of accuracy.

This film gets a 1 out of 1000000000000 from me.

The Dark Knight Rises. It was a good movie but had two things going against it. It felt more like a Bond movie than a Batman movie. Secondly, there's NO way to compete with The Dark Knight movie. 3 out of 5.

Lool, that's the last movie I watched too, but I've seen it before.

Brilliant movie. Agree, 10/10.

Leaves you feeling kind of unsettled, satisfied and wanting to know more..

"Beasts of the Southern Wild"

2/5

Story about a girl and her sick father surviving Hurricane Katrina in a Louisiana swamp.

Depressing. Not recommended.
