Try death in the family and the person happens to be on the other coast line.

EDMOND, Oklahoma -- An Edmond woman says she had advanced warning on Wednesday's earthquake that rattled central Oklahoma.

Jennifer Bingham said she noticed a sulfur stench in the creeks and rivers around Edmond in the last few weeks. She says the smell seemed to culminate about two days ago when the whole city smelled like a sewer.

A seismologist said it is possible to predict an earthquake is coming based on the sulfur smell. There is research around the world that's looking at that study extensively. There are other signs like ringing in the ears, feelings of nausea or pets standing still when they're anticipating an earthquake.

I live near Edwards Air Force base very far from the salton sea in the High Desert, and i could smell it here. It was very strong here. Where i live is probably about 30 miles north east of the San Andreas. This combined with the fish kills im getting a little nervous.

No let's not wish any harm.

The gangs and drugs will simply move to the N.Cal or inland anyway.

SoCal may have their share of problems people but so do many other cities.

No, I am not, I just happened to catch this story and thought I would share. I do have a lot of family in So-Cal and they were actually commenting on facebook about the smell.

Not trying to fearmonger, but putting some odd things together here, for those thinking an earthquake here in Cali could be imminent:
www.haarpstatus.com...

The antipode of Los Angeles just had an earthquake:
earthquake.usgs.gov...
just off shore of Madagascar 4.8.

Also an interesting video, could be bunch of bologna, but just sharing.

I have serious doubts about the validity of videos
like that. I would think that venting steam covering
such a wide area would be witnessed by thousands
of people.

Edit: Thanks for going to the trouble to post this. BTW, what exactly
am I looking at on the haarpstatus page? I'm not too hip on how haarp
works or what exactly it does.

When I realized it wasn't the eggs, I thought it must be me, so I changed my clothes," Chavez said. "Finally I saw the reports.... With the weather the way it is, the smell was awful."

My favorite quote out of all ths. I can just imagine this guy smelling his armpits with a puzzled look on his face.

I'm not buying the fish die off one bit. There is a huge difference between fishy and eggy smells.

The San Adreas fault runs into the Salton, and there are mud volcanoes near the subduction zone... someone should investigate those volcanoes and see if the smell is emanating from that area.

That's where I'd start.

The sulfur dioxide would not be the result of the fish die-off.

That deeper water is more saline, smelly and less fresh than the water it replaces on the surface, he said. During the hot summers, in particular, there is a buildup at the bottom of sulfur dioxide from decaying algae blooms and other organic material. That explains the rotten egg smell.

It makes the Salton Sea a stinky place on a good day, and the last few days have not been good days.

Oh lord have mercy I have called forth the Phage!

Just teasing, but thank you for clearing that up for me. I have smelled dead fish and it is a very distinct smell. I was having issues with comparing the two.

Now the algae bloom thing I can understand. However, being as it was smelled up to a hundred miles away, (supposedly), it must have been one heck of a wind to kick that up............

I have news for you all.

California is home to the most evolved humans on the planet. Yes, there are some not so evolved one's here. But California is home to the largest concentration of people who have higher consciousness and that means survival of the fittest. Natural selection will pick us.

I think that California is going to become an island while the rest of the USA sinks. Wouldn't that be ironic.

I agree, but I do hope I'm standing in the right location when that island transpires!

I am at some elevation, here's hoping!
