Why are you taking the side of a murderer?

She's a murderer. She got a little taste of her own medicine.

I see this as karma.

Oh there is karma for harming, he has a lot coming to him. He needed to stop sleeping with unknowns, and risk factors and wear a freaking condom. He is a murderer. Now he'll be in jail, and hopefully he'll see how wrong he was to harm others, and seek forgiveness.

Chance of HIV from a woman is less than 1% and there are many who sleep with woman who have HIV, without condoms. Hep C too. By the way, I wouldn't hire sex either, alot of them are drug addicts, needles, and HIV, Hep C positive.

It is not a given someone will transfer the aids virus to another person so this guy should have waited to see if he contracted the virus before killing the woman. He also should have asked her if she had any diseases before sleeping with her. Come on fella - take some responsibility for your own irresponsible actions.

Did you REALLY just say he should have waited to make sure he contracted the disease before he killed her???

How about... He should not have killed her.

He should have left her ass, gotten the law involved and let THEM handle it.

hollanishottopics.wordpress.com...

Now,I am not saying she did it on purpose, for sure...But she knew she had it..... she knew she was very potentially passing it on to him..Which is why she told him later....

Id say pressing charges would be the....sane route to go....

Maybe he was religious and doesn't believe in them. Maybe they just plain made a mistake. Maybe a local American senator told him that STD spread was over exageratted?

No offense, but I don't think lecturing the person now is going to help. Everyone likes to talk like they've never made a mistake I guess. Some people make mistakes like this their whole life and get away with it ... others do it once and end up in a wheel chair.

And that's how disease is spread. People assume that since they care for someone if that person doesn't tell them they are infected with something it must be okay. What if they are infected with something and don't know it? What if they know they MIGHT be infected with something but are in a state of denial so they don't go get tested?

Once one of my daughters was all "in love" and trusted her partner when he said "we don't need to use a condom, I don't have anything." They had been together for almost a year- having protected sex- and she figured it had been long enough and she could trust him. Well, guess who had to sit with her at the STD clinic when she started having symptoms of an STD? Yep, dumb old Mom who had warned her against exactly what happened! Turned out he had given her two different STDs (I'd name them but I've no idea how to spell them). Thank goodness they were curable, but what if they hadn't been?

Before I married my husband (MANY years ago) I insisted that we both go together and get tested for STDs. He didn't like it, but because he loved me he did. If you truly care for someone you want them to be safe and healthy.

When you have unprotected sex with anyone you put yourself at risk. If you catch something you have nobody to blame but yourself because nobody can protect you but YOU.

That's what a sane person would have done but think about his initial reaction. You just found out that you were exposed to an incurable disease and the person who exposed you knew this. Anger and fear are 2 very strong emotions.

What you say is true, but if in fact he didn't use a condom for "religious" reasons that I would consider a crock of BULL considering there aren't too many religions that condone pre-marital sex. If he was "Sooo religious" he couldn't use a condom he probably shouldn't have been having sex at all.

And yes, people make mistakes, but more often people just don't want to be "bothered" with a condom. You know, the whole "that will never happen to me" thing. It's that kind of attitude that contributes to the spread of HIV as well as numerous other STDs.

The man is rightfully angry and a lot of people would have reacted the same way. He won't get 1st degree murder but likely a 2nd degree or a manslaughter of some sort. He will be punished, as he should, but likely for 10 years or so. She knowingly has a disease that is incurable and is a slow miserable death.

It would have been interesting to see what kind of charges the woman would have gotten though. One could argue that she could be charged with a 1st degree murder.

Oh really now? Care to back that up with some real stats?

The Highest rate ranges from 0.82-1.43 each time you have sex between homosexual's, and men give HIV mostly. (old studies and new one)

www.realjock.com...

Women are more likely to get HIV from sex than to give it.

www.cfsh.ca...

Men and women have a different anatomy so women’s bodies often respond differently to the same illnesses or infections. For example, during vaginal sex, with all other factors being equal, a woman can be at a higher risk for contracting HIV than a man. Here are some reasons why:

So her rate of transmission is far lower than the stats above.

Wearing a condom is recommended, most don't know they have it.

Also, its BLOOD, you get it primarily, (but not always) from Blood, sharing needles, for example, and its most common in drug users.

I think the guy might of over reacted but at the same time i don't know how i would react if i just slept with a women and she told me that, however im not saddened over the lose, how many other people would she have slept with with out telling them until after? She knowingly endangered his life, even with all the treatment that there is out there now days its still not fair to place that burden on others!

She probably hoped he would be cool with it and stay with her F'it at that point but Nope he was a psycho, now shes dead and he wasted his life.

There is an old saying: "Two wrongs don't make a right."

He should not have killed her. He should have gotten a Lawyer and exposed her and taken her to court. Who knows how many others she may have slept with and not told.

The way things are now; it is a lose-lose situation.

I am sad to say this, but I think she deserved it for not telling her partner she had HIV. If he gets infected then it would pretty much be murder.

Didn't think so.So quit talking out your ass.

Fact is anyone can get HIV. And anyone who has it can give it to someone. Man or woman.

goaskalice.columbia.edu...

The chance of infection increases with repeated acts of intercourse (more exposure to the virus), yet the risk of transmission in any one sexual episode differs. For instance, transmission is more likely when there is an increased amount of virus in genital fluids or blood (a high viral load) than when the viral load is lower. Also, studies have shown that infection rates are generally higher for male-to-male transmission and needle sharing (anywhere from 1 in 1000 to 1 in 10) but lower for female-to-male transmission.

Less than 1 in a 1000 for female to male transmission. The chance of becoming infected increases with frequent sex, and CONDOMS solve the problem.

The initial crime was committed by the woman in that she failed to divulge the fact that she had HIV prior to engaging in intercourse with the man. The secondary crime was committed by the man in that he murdered the woman. It's a bad situation all around.

HOWEVER, I hope it gets a wide amount of media coverage. Such a horrible event can act as a wonderful deterrent to the spreading of HIV. Now those who have the virus may not be so eager to omit mentioning it, because their partner may just lose their mind and cause them severe bodily harm or death. Those who would engage in sexual relations with a new partner may not be so eager to have unprotected sex, and actually bring up the uncomfortable questions which may "kill the mood" but "keep people alive".

That being said, I've never been driven to murder. But if someone who I trusted did the same thing to me that this woman did to this man, I don't know what the me of that situation would do. I don't care to find out either.

I'm not sure why some of the comments here are about the statistics? If it is to prove a point, no need for that, since no 'point' can be made when we are discussing a deadly, sexually transmitted virus. There are very, very few people in the world who would take their chances and gamble with something like HIV and they are called bugchasers, the rest of us would never willingly sleep with someone who is infected and become a statistic.

1 in 1000! would you give it a shot Unity99 and have unprotected intercourse with a HIV+ female since you are the one who mentioned the 'lower risk' twice already?

The poster was correct to an extent, it is harder (not by much) for it to be passed through heterosexual sex.

Something to do with tears and blood which don't happen as much in normal sex.

Also, HIV isn't the death sentence it once was, people can now live normal(ish) long lives as long as they keep to the medication.

That being said, what she did was wrong, although she didn't deserve to be killed, I can certainly understand the blokes reaction.

Sleeping with someone if you knowingly have aids is not murder. It is risky, stupid and probably unforgivable. It is an ethical matter rather than a legal one because contrary to popular belief sleeping with someone who has aids once does not mean you will catch it.

wow, that is just an amazing comment right there, really. I dont think I have ever read anything like that ever.
I mean knowing you have a disease that is terminal and contagious through sexual contact and not advising a partner you really think you would get off legaly. i dont think so. In the UK and Australia you can be charged with GBH probably something similar in the USA in most states.
you talk as if HIV/AIDS is no big deal, maybe in your reality, you might survive a couple of sexual contacts with an infected person, but you will get it in the end if your unprotected.
