Man stabs lover to death after she didn't tell him she had HIV before they had sex

A man stabbed his girlfriend to death because she didn't tell him she was HIV positive before they had sex.

Ms Bolden and 36-year-old Dunn had recently started dating. He later told police that when she confessed to having the virus she then told him it was ‘not that bad’.

He became upset and walked to the kitchen to get a knife which he used to kill her with, according to police.

While he committed murder (horrifyingly her children found her body), what was she thinking?

Hopefully her kids don't end up being such scumbags. "She took my life so I took hers" im typically not a fan of vengeance but she had it coming.

Not too many people get to kill their killer.

This makes for an interesting ethical quandary.

It is not a given someone will transfer the aids virus to another person so this guy should have waited to see if he contracted the virus before killing the woman. He also should have asked her if she had any diseases before sleeping with her. Come on fella - take some responsibility for your own irresponsible actions.

Yes, but then he would have been charged with first degree murder....of his murderer. Justice usually doesn't equal the law.

No she didn't "have it coming. " What an insane statement. It is possible and easy to see why someone loosely hinged and impulsive might be driven to kill her. That I will agree with but to say she had it coming is crazy talk and he is as much a scum bag or more. She did not kill him. He killed her. He probably will catch nothing and be fine and even if he isn't - it is not justification for murder.

Agreed with your OP. I look at this story and I see 2 scumbag murderers. The woman who basically wrote his Death Warrant...or if he didn't actually become infected by her, it's sure not because SHE cared either way about it. Then, of course, the guy who didn't just risk killing her, he outright took a knife and did it.

If it weren't for the poor kids here, I'd say we have an example of a self cleaning oven and some problems take care of themselves. But...damn..the kids just don't make it that easy to say and write off. She should have cared a bit more for THEM then getting her pleasure with a man she was likely consigning to death in the process.

Sleeping with someone if you knowingly have aids is not murder. It is risky, stupid and probably unforgivable. It is an ethical matter rather than a legal one because contrary to popular belief sleeping with someone who has aids once does not mean you will catch it.

I believe from my previous reading on the subject that she was legally obliged to tell him? i.e you can claim legal damages if someone does this to you. We had a situation where I live of a person delibrately infecting people and that person was arrested, though I didn't follow the case.

People do dumb things and get lustful. Is it fair this person should get HIV for a mistake? I don't agree with the person's reaction but I think a HIV infected person has a duty of care.

let me get this straight this lady knew she had HIV then had sex with him without telling him. If he found out by himself then he must have been sick and wondered or got tested and found out. They had been in a relationship so lets just assume they are adults and had unprotected sex more then once or twice ok. He did everyone a favor she could have killed a lot more people. This is something where if a women does it its up to the man to protect himself and if a man did it hes a cold blooded killer. Its one thing to not know and make a mistake its totally another when you do know.

Not saying what he did was right. But just how "unhinged" would the average person become after hearing this? Plus there are things you don't know. Perhaps they had sex during her menses? Whole blood just teeming with the virus. Plus, how many others did she have sex with? She could have been a new age "Typhoid Mary".

I tell you what she did deserve. Jail time! And perhaps a listing on the sex offenders website. Who says that listing can't be updated to include cases such as this? She was a sexual preditor. True? Folks would need to be warned.
