Take the global number of violent deaths per 100,000. Take the global number of scientists per 100,000. Draw these as a Venn diagram. The two circles will overlap as unfortunately for scientists, they are not immune from violent crime. Correlation does not imply causation.

Let's look at the homicide rates by occupation per 100,000:

Taxicab driver/chauffer : 15.1
Law enforcement officer: 9.3
Hotel clerk: 5.1
Gas station worker: 4.5
Security guard: 3.6
Stock handler/buyer: 3.1
Store owner/manager: 2.8
Bartender: 2.1

So it would appear that TPTB consider cab drivers to be the biggest threat to their power as they have nearly 50% more homicides per 100,000 that the next occupation down! What dark secrets are these cab drivers stumbling on to warrant such a vicious campaign of slaughter by TPTB? Could they be ferrying around scientists who are on the brink of discovering Zero-Point Quantum Fluctual Woo Hoo generators? Who knows, but these stats are definitive proof of the fact that cab drivers are being targeted by TPTB. Right?

I'm frankly amazed at the lack of actual explanation of what is 'wrong' by anyone here.

If you said something concrete I could look into it.

And I can guaran-dam-tee that scientists were nothing to do with it.

I can also guaran-dam-tee that technologists and engineers made the devices that caused the problem, not the scientists.

And I can guarantee the technologist or engineer was working for a company, and it was the greed of the company using the technology that is the problem.

You are blaming the wrong people by saying it's scientists. They warn us all the time. Science is just a method to collect information.

Every time you read about some awful pesticide, or some pollutant, or damaged eco system, how did you hear about that:

From the company that did it?
Or concerned scientists that have researched it's effects and are warning us?
