Hustler Magazine Publisher Offers $1 Million Reward For Romney Tax Returns

To be published in this Sundays (9/9/12) Washington Times:

Flynt is taking out full-page ads in this Sunday’s edition of The Washington Post and Tuesday’s USA Today that promises “up to $1 million” for the dirt on Romney’s “unreleased tax returns and/or details of his offshore assets, bank accounts and business partnerships.” (But before you go calling the Hustler hotline, be aware that Flynt will need “documented evidence of your claims.”)

I would be more interested in Obama's college documents.

What is he hiding?

Can this be paid in cash? Gold would also be acceptable.

Why are people so concerned with Romneys tax returns after last nite at the DNC the current potus is a shoe in

If I had the money, I would rather offer a million dollars for Obama's college transcripts rather than some boring tax returns.

All transcripts tell you is what classes he took and what grades he got 20+ years ago. Soooo interesting and relevant

Remember back in June, when Trump said he would release his birther findings? So how's that going? Bit overdue with that bombshell revelation, isn't he? So the attack agenda switched to "transcripts" because apparently Obama, and only Obama, sealed his from the public.
Of course, if someone were to tell you that everyone's college transcripts are sealed, by law, by the 1974 privacy act you'll just continue espousing doltish birtherism/transcriperisms that Obama is "hiding his transcripts". If you're looking for poor grades, forget it, the guy graduated Harvard Law with a Magna Cum Laude (meaning a minimum GPA of 3.76 by Harvard's standards).

But this $1 million reward between Larry Flint and Romney appears to be something personal - my guess the little quip made by Romney about p0rn.

In the fine print it says that they have to be obtained in a legal manner that will allow hustler to print them.
That pretty much rules out any method other than romney disclosing the information himself.

The legal ramifications of this offer out weigh the reward.

I think it might be violating some law to even ask for someone else's tax returns or information regarding them. Larry ought to just wheel himself into some peep show booth.

There are 50 threads already dedicated to Obama's BC or college transcripts. Go pollute one of those threads with your off-topic comments. This is about Romney's tax returns and the $1 million reward being offered by Hustler for them.

Huh?
We are talking about college records, not his birth certificate.

Get with it man!

So you are saying Obama cannot release his records like GW Bush and other Presidents. Wouldn't it be nice to know the grades of the President or is that to much to ask for?

Prove it, show me his grades........oh, wait......

Probably why there's some boilerplate in the ad about "obtaining them legally". How that could be done? No idea. Not sure he can publish them even if he did obtain them legally.

Just like the 50 threads already dedicated to Romney's tax returns.

You are silly.
It's funny how some of you act when logic slaps you in the face.

If anyone did surrender any information they had on Romney's returns, they would almost certainly be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. GIven Holder's performance, that would probably amount to a nickle fine.

Offer a 1 million dollar reward. Someone gives them the information. Said person gets arrested for illegally obtaining the documents.

Oh how pissed I would be if that happened.

According to Privacy Rights Clearinghouse:

Tax information, both federal and state, is not a public record. It is not disclosed unless:

  • The taxpayer is part of a court proceeding where tax issues are relevant
  • A government agency is trying to locate a parent who owes child support payments
  • State financial aid programs have been requested
  • It is for statistical use
  • Agencies request tax information for the purpose of tax administration

People who file joint returns have equal access to tax records. Federal law allows the Social Security Administration and the Department of Education access to tax records to withhold tax refunds if money is owed to the government.

It's possible several people already have access to Romney's tax returns, but AFAIK they cannot legally release them without authorization from Romney.

In reality, not expecting anyone to make good on Hustler's bounty, it's more publicity stunt than anything else.

Do we have proof of this other than a wiki page and his word?
You state it as fact.
