You´re right, but at the time I wrote the OP, I thought it was quite an amazing site and I thought that at least the southern bit with the small pyramid might be an artifact.

However, I now believe both locations represent practical sites, either for bombing or paratrooping trainings and agree that they are not ancient.

Hahaha

I believe you bro. Crazier things have happened.
Well, it seems that this mystery's been solved, I'm sure there's a few still picking lint out the pockets.

For confirmation, does anyone know if it is in fact the Egyptian army that's using this practice site?
(I mean, it could me terrorists or something
)

I found some amazing geoglyphs or earth art in Oregon and California. I made a website to show the pics to you. What do you think? Earth Art or Geoglyphs?

just talked to a Feldwebel(Seargeant) of the Deutsche Luftwaffe(german airforce) about bombing test sides. Well he said it is complete nonsense to build something like that for bombtesting. He told me that they would never use a square, all over the world circles are used for testing becaue of the radius. And also they would actualy build houses to destroy and no pyramid or fakeplanes. I think your bombing test side is debunked, it must be something totally different or do you actualy think the egyptian airforce would build up such a nonsense?

Interesting. I have no idea what is "normal" for test bombing sites. All I know is that I saw pictures of the site from the ground, and there were empty bomb shells lying around.

I guess I´ll have to dig a bit deeper and see if I can find more info.

Okay I researched it some more and found an answer quickly, on the same site where the ground level photos can be found.

Here are some of the photos in case you missed them:

Unfortunately there were no photos of the planes taken from the ground, or at least they are not found on the site.

Here´s the introduction to the photo gallery, which is telling:

In February 2012, Dr Carmen Boulter led an expedition into the Western Desert of Egypt in search of a new site. She found the coordinates on Google Earth, got permits from the Egyptian government to go into the restricted military zone, arranged for a hot air balloon, and brought a film crew and scientist.

I added the emphasis. So apparantly they had to get a permit to access the restricted military zone... This reinforces the theory that this is nothing more than a military practice site. For me it´s settled now :-)

You mean the Saqqara Bird?

No. They dont look alike at all.7

Where do you think the inventors of the aeroplanes and aerodynamics got their idea of the most optimum shape etc for aeroplanes???
by watching the birds of course!!

Same tomb as which?
The Saqqara Bird was found during excavations at the Pa-di-imen tomb in Saqqara, Egypt.
The pre-columbian gold artefacts or trinkets whose images you have posted above were not found in a particular tomb but at various excavations.
and they were not from the same tomb as the saqqara bird, which was found in Egypt.
