If you want a conspiracy, you have to wonder if the DNC is TRYING to lose this thing.

Think about it from a longer view. If they all show support for Obama (no matter the good or ill he's done, not talking about that), while this country still has this many problems, and if they do not get fixed through the next 4 years, then the Democratic party may well be done for, no matter who they choose, for several elections--and if it goes on long enough, the party is done for. The more Democrats can be divided, the better chance that the next democrat has to be elected, next term, if Obama fails this term, re-elected or not. Got to remember, Obama's inheriting Obama's problems now, not everything can be pinned on Bush, from this point on. --If Obama compounds a few more problems, then it will be "look what 8 years of Obama did!", and the Republicans cakewalk in.

Sorry, just another case of covering backside.

I want the DNC to win. Anyone who is anyone knows the economy is going to nose dive after the elections. I dont want true capitalism to be thrown under the bus if Romany wins. And we all know the left will blame capitalism for the collapse when in truth it was government that created this mess

Why would it nose dive after the elections? From my understanding, it has been in free-fall since 2008...before Obama took office.

It was thrown under the bus a long time ago. Romney believes and practices free-market corporatism and cronyism. That's a long way from capitalism.

And we all know the left will blame capitalism for the collapse when in truth it was government that created this mess

You're right. The left will blame capitalism and the Right will blame socialism. Just goes to show that neither side know what the hell they are talking about!

The economy has been doing bad since 2002. Heck you can make an arguement that the economy has been doing bad since we were taken off the gold standerd.

I say the economy will nose dive because of the "fiscal cliff" of tax hikes and budget cuts we will see on Jan 2013. The economy cant take a hit like that. We are also witnessing the worst recovery on record. Historically the us economy will go into recession every 4-6 years. We will approach the start of that 4-6 year span this October. With the worst recovery on record, fiscal cliff, and the approaching next recession, that Europe is already in mind you, I fear total mayhem in the economy after the elections.

I think the examples you cited smack more of desperation and absolute disorganization from the resultant fear/panic that they are not going to win. They so desperately want to win - not for the good of the people but for the power.

They are acting like a cornered rat. As a former interrogator for the military they are collectively acting like a subject in a lengthy interview whose cover story is beginning to unravel before his eyes under the facts and therefore starts acting very irrationally.

He knows if this goes on much longer he is going to start to have to tell the truth and if that happens he is finished as the truth is not something this subject can use to his advantage.

Just my two drachma

In my opinion, 2008 was the last straw. We could have turned things around up to that point, but the 2008 debacle showed us exactly where the money was going, what they were doing with it and which politicians were in the pocket of corporate greed.

We are actually well beyond the point that Europe is at right now. We've just been sticking band-aids on the wounds so that we don't bleed out before the American people figure out what is going on.

Regardless of whom wins the elections, we are in some deep shiznit! Free-market capitalism died long ago and neither Romney or Obama can bring it back to life.

I think both sides are just SO out of touch with reality that they actually believe this nonsense.

I feel like a person on the outside looking in. And I just can't believe what I am seeing. Blatant ignorance, pandering, flat out lying. It is disgusting. And to think that this is our future? This is our choice? This is the BEST we can do to represent America?

Honestly I am sick to my stomach. I just watched that "God and Jerusalem" vote for the 3rd time. So obviously clear that the first two times, the No's won. I think come the third vote they managed to rush a few more "yea's" in once they realized they lost. But still.. the no's won loud and clear. Then you have people like Debbie Wasserman Schultz saying "oh it was OBVIOUSLY 2/3 yea". Then you have the comments from the DNC chair. Blatant racist comments. And it will be washed over and covered up because no one DARES speak out against Israel.

I know that I am going to catch flack for this comment. But I am honestly embarrassed to be an American right now. I am embarrassed to think the rest of the world is watching this circus and thinking it really represents the American people.

Agreed,
I have seen a lot of political campaigns in my lifetime and I have to say that these 2 campaigns ( obama and romney) are the most amateurish campaigns I have ever witnessed in a presidential election. no matter which one of these posers gets elected this country is in deep S^%#

The DNC isn't trying to lose, they are just following the script. TPTB need to make the election look close, but they know that people aren't really voting for Romney as much as they are voting against Obama. But the fix is already in. Romney will sabotage his campaign as November nears, Obama wins. During the next 4 years, TPTB will need to rely heavily on the "If you don't support Obama's policies, then you are a racist" angle when the economy tanks and we invade Iran. If Romney were president during that time, there would be mass riots.

Having Bill Clinton give the starring speech at the DNC is tricky.
He gives a great speech ... but that's the problem, isn't it?
People have to look at Bill Clinton (who knows what he's doing and can balance a budget)
and then turn around and look at Obama .. who is inept and inexperienced and a complete
clown compared to Clinton. That's dangerous ground for the dems to be on ....

That's exactly right... He will need to give the speech of his life to avoid the comparison.

Well I am enjoying that everyone got a taste of how the elite view 'voting'. It happened in the GOP. Remember the one where the GA GOP voted overwhelmingly to not support anyone that supported the NDAA provisions Obama signed and then someone said "does that mean we cannot support Mitt Romney" and then the whole amendment was withdrawn by the "committee" against the protest of the whole convention. Several "say aye for and nay against" and then despite the overwhelming nays saying "the aye's have it".

He was at least a little more diplomatic by giving the Democrats three chances to vote "as they were supposed to" before overriding the vote himself.

I would think Democrats would be alright with it though. They want communism and communists don't have much respect for people, rights, or democracy. It was more a shock on the Republican side I think.

Either way - if you think you have any impact or effect on federal politics you need to get your head checked. They will do whatever is politically expedient and gives them more control regardless of how the majority of people feel about it.

That is why calls to get rid of the electoral college is a joke. They won't respect the majority when its clearly visible shown on camera live on a dozen television networks and recorded and available to 300 million people to view - KNOWING their opposition will do their best to get it out there.

Think they'll count the silent/hidden votes honestly and faithfully?

so...if tens of thousands of democrats get rained on (has anyone seen how hard it rains in north carolina from a hurricane?) and the DNC does not want these people getting soaked to the bone, somehow, that is, "DNC IS TRYING TO LOSE THE ELECTION"....right, sure that's it

I do not believe it matters,Romney and Obama are both related to the Bush family.Kerry ran as a Democrat against his distant Republican cousin.Except for two Presidents, all have been related to a very influential group of families all descended from a common ancestor. These people know who they are,and are organized against you,the commoner. This latest tidbit was ascertained by a curious fellow who simply used ancestry.com.

The Dems have been a very fractured organization for some time and continue down that path.

They rely heavily on the Education Unions (NEA) that oppose school-choice vouchers for inner-city African Americans and Hispanics.

They pander to Hollywood millionaires while trying to say that “they’re for the little guy.”

They pander to atheists and the LGBT group while trying to hold onto the Catholic vote.

They pander to the anti-Israel crowd (the J-Street crowd) while pulling in huge donations from Jews who support Israel.

They bow to militant feminists while trying not to portray themselves as girly-men.

They succumb to the abortion industry while claiming that it’s a woman’s right to kill her unborn child for any reason at any point in the pregnancy.

The pander to illegal aliens at the expense of jobs for African Americans.

And amazingly, they keep getting votes…but it’s starting to turn.
