Bill Clinton quotes from DNC speech:

www.washingtonpost.com... 3f495ae70650_print.html

President Obama’s plan cuts the debt, honors our values, brightens the future of our children, our families, and our nation. It’s a heck of a lot better. It passes the arithmetic test and, far more important, it passes the values test.

Personally, all I heard from Bill was "fuzzy math" and we already knew he had fuzzy values.

Get the picture? Clinton praises Obama both for his sound budget math and for his jobs plan, even though the money to fund the budget and the jobs plan are used twice. That certainly doesn't pass the Arkansas 2+2=4 test.

What does one analyst call Bill's arithmetic?

Rather than good arithmetic, independent budget analysts called the maneuver “a major budget gimmick.”

"Fact checking Bill Clinton’s speech and other Democrats at the convention in Charlotte"

www.washingtonpost.com... /55b9df68-f7e1-11e1-8b93-c4f4ab1c8d13_blog.html

In fact, his employment numbers were wrong too, but we already knew that.

Maybe Bill's illiterate too. How hard is it to keep track of the "revised" numbers each month? I do it. Obviously, Bill's only looking at first time published reports instead of factoring in previous month revision numbers after they've been downgraded.

The numbers Obama fears the most:

23 Million Americans Unemployed

$16 Trillion National Debt

$3.90 a gallon gasoline

------------
Robbing the Medicare piggy bank to fund ObamaCare also makes Americans angry.

Clearly, Old Bill was back in his element with his record setting marathon speech. For a moment there, I thought that the crowd believed that they were supporting candidate Clinton in the 2012 race.

Now, its time for the rubber to hit the road in regards to what Bill said exactly. He's good at glazing over facts and figures in true Slick Willie fashion. There was a moment in his undoubtedly powerful speech where he mentioned how the Republicans "Hate Obama" and without pause Clinton moved right into a brief civil rights rant as the camera quickly focused on Black attendees in the crowd.

He talked about how he grew up not hating Republicans the way Republicans hate Obama. He mentioned how President Dwight D. Eisenhower sent troops to Little Rock in 1957 to promote school integration,

Clinton subtly played the race card...

The ire is not aimed at Obama it is aimed at his policies, actions and hypocrisy. Bill spoke of how Obama has appointed a couple of select Republicans to fill a few cabinet positions in an attempt to paint Obama as a unifier but failed to mention Obama's bevy of unvetted and unconfirmed Czar appointees who were all cut from the same progressive cloth.

The Republican party is done. Bill Clinton is a thorn in their side again. Whether you agree or disagree with him, that was one powerful speech. It's over, Romney will not win.

Good old Bill destroyed the republicans and more importantly unified the democratic base, the republican party is toast.

As President, he has early access to the reports. He may even have it in his hands as we speak. If he goes on the ATTACK tonight, I would say the report is not good news.

Just keep telling yourself that. It was the equivalent of a former high school quarterback trying to relive his glory days. If anything he highlighted how far the country has fallen.

Doesn't everyone realize that Clinton's speech wasn't that good? The teleprompter technician had a hard time following along, as Clinton went off topic. And his FACTS are a bit off too. People were caught yawning during Clinton's speech.

Care to elaborate and/or enumerate which facts, in particular, were a 'bit off?'

Point 2:
Obama is running for re-election, not Clinton. Why didn't anyone at the convention stand up and ask Obama to step out of the way and let Clinton do the job? Either Bill or Hill can do better than Obama.

Because the people at the convention want to re-elect President Obama. That should be obvious.
And besides that...Bill has already spent his presidential term quota and Hillary had her chance at 2012 in 2008.

Don't be coy.

Point 3:
I've watched many Democratic National Conventions, this has to be the worst one of all. The crowds aren't representative of their party. Just my opinion.

What does that mean, exactly? Is there a specific demographic for democrats?
Or is it more or less everyone who has not found themselves to be compatible with the GOP's unspoken dress code?
Such as gay veterans married to same-sex partners and people who support the legalization of medical marijuana and people who actually fact-check...and so on and so on?

Because if that be the case...I saw a whole venue FULL of such people...you know...a melting pot type middle class crowd.

I'm LOVING the Democratic Convention this year! My favorite speakers so far have been Deval Patrick, Julian Castro, Lilly Ledbetter, Elizabeth Warren, Michelle Obama and Bill Clinton.

And I LOVED Sandra Fluke! Very impressive! Looking forward to tonight.

I didn't watch the RNC this year. I just couldn't stomach it.

Keep telling yourself that, the republicans can't stand Clinton and for good reason, he owns them every single time. Mitt Romney has no shot and I couldn't be happier.

They are until they figure out they need some votes. It is desperation. Don't forget the Christian socialism factor either. It is a fact that Marxism has inflitrated the churches.

Boy...and you are a evangelical I assume? Marxism has infiltrated the churches? How about the doctrine of the Gospels? Or do you even bother to read what Christ's position on society was?

I get such a hoot of of the right wing moral majority and completely disregards the teachings of Christ. You know...things like charity and humility..."Oh...I disagree with that so I must label it something horrible and disregard it come Sunday"..."think I'll call it Marxism"

As a Libertarian, I get an even bigger hoot watching the hypocrisy of both sides. You left/righters should put together a Vaudeville show...packed houses every night!

Also dude, I'm not trying to play the argumentum ad hominem...just felt like pointing something out... for someone that proclaims to be such an morally right person...you forum ID is pretty hypocritical...I wonder how many ATSers know the origins of that? Aleister Crowley...yes folks, the occultist....the Third Eye of Horus is anal sex. Crowley thought it gave elemental magic powers...pretty funny being used by such an upstanding deliverer of wisdom and righteousness....

QFT, the Republican party has become a joke the last 10 years, they really need a change in their system or they will keep losing more people in the future.

I was so glad to see the Bill Clinton speech. He said two great things that will cost Obama the election, and he wrapped them in candy coated words.

1. Shared prosperity.... ( otherwise known as communism ).

2. Look at his record ! Look at his record ! (something no democrat wants to do ).

This is going to be fun ! I can't wait until Bill gives a few more kind words about Romney to seal the deal, and a few more critiques of Obama. You got to know that I am laughing.

Btw, don't miss the big Obama speech tonight, it will definitely be worth the viewing. He'll never get the love and awe that Bill brought. So much fun....

Bill Clinton quote from DNC speech:

During this period -- during this period, more than 500,000 manufacturing jobs have been created under President Obama. That’s the first time manufacturing jobs have increased since the 1990s.

Bill, I really must know where you get your numbers.

According to the BLS reports that are readily available for everyone to read, the increase of manufacturing jobs from January 2010 - July 2012 has only been 277,000 (according to first time reports). I seriously doubt that when the BLS revises it's numbers each month, that the true amount almost doubled.

I swear, do you use any other links besides that one? LoL!

Anyways...it's fascinating to see that the ATS conservative contingent can't even concede a good speech.

Even conservative pundits such as Schmidt, Frum, Castellanos and Fleisher all agree it was a good speech. Hell, Castellanos even said Clinton just sealed the election.

What are you guys going to do on the day after the election when Obama has won?

NO ONE else cared to interview the man wearing an Indian Head Dress. He clearly stood out in the crowd. Why do you think that is?? Breitbart is the only source that cared to interview the great grandson of Geronimo.... Who else can I source?? The liberal media did not want to hear what he had to say about Warren!! Not good for her speech and introduction of Bill Clinton..... Gimme a Break!!

Warren is a fool and should bow her head in shame and disgrace!!! Period.
