Well folks...If your attention span allows you to, I highly recommend you view this video through to its ending.

It may SEEM as though this is just about Assange and Wikileaks and their well publicised struggles, and although the first third or so is about the history and particulars surrounding exactly WHY he and they are in the spotlight right now, there is a much, MUCH darker, more important second two thirds.

As Assange readily admits himself...he is relatively unimportant when weighed against what is happening to the rule of law, or the dwindling presence of it in the West.

Although he rejects the concept of martyrdom, and rightly so in my opinion, he does feel 'he' is a relatively small price to pay, if his actions both inform and activate the people of the world and rallies them against the gross illegality of governments, subjugation of populace, and the slide towards a totalitarianist unified body overseeing and directing world events....and perhaps worse.

Julian lays out exactly what is going on...he is diplomatic in his rhetoric, but he doesn't leave an awful lot up to the imagination about what he is saying.

Take notice, I'm an everyday adult man. I'm not a teacher, nor am I a politics or philosophy bigwig...that means, if you don't 'see' what is being made abundantly obvious in this video, and its implications...don't ask me to clarify for you.

I won't.

I'm not here to 'enlighten you or somehow convert you'...this is me passing on some other mans words...words that will strike a chilling chord with many on this board, and will undoubtably spur others into a negative overdrive of innate and irate drivel, a lot of them in the employ of or motivated by the people Julian is talking about in this video i suspect...But fine, wherever your heart is man...

Take it as a WARNING people...watch this interview and then realise why it is of the utmost import that you did.

I'd recommend a bottle or two of wine, a few beers or your preferred alcoholic beverage standing by to assuage the impact of what this brave man has to say. You choice of course.

The question is what do we do with what we take away from this? How do we progress? How COULD we progress? Is it too late to do anything at all? Or anything that doesn't attract a bullet or an orange suit at least?

We all have people and things in our lives that most of us will do almost anything to protect and safeguard...the cruel irony may well be that doing nothing at all, which may seem the smart thing to do now, will put that which we wish to protect in more profound danger than actually doing...something, anything.

Whatever way the people ultimately decide to act, if they even do act, I'd recommend acting..carefully.

Remember when the phrase 'Careful, Big brother is watching' was just a euphemism? Yeah...so do i.

If he ever gets back here to Australia he would be well positioned for a political career.

He would make a great Prime Minister.

Impressive interview

I'm glad I took the time to watch the whole thing.

He makes it hard for me to not like him.
I found the information about Sweden's arms exports fascinating and will look more into that.

More vids please when you find them!

Rather disturbing that the once again "neutral" Sweden is one of the biggest Arms manufacturers and exporter in the world.

Globally the volume of international transfers of major conventional weapons was 24 percent higher in the period 2007-11 compared to the 2002-06 period, the report said, meaning Sweden's arms exports have increased at a higher rate that the global average.

Swedish arms exports keep booming

A hero ? Skulking in a third world embassy to avoid sex crimes allegations while leaving his misguided supporters who put up his bail money in the lurch. Not my idea of a hero exactly.

why in the world is he constantly refusing to adress the accusations?

Why cant he just say, "Im innocent. this is a set-up".
He evades any question regarding the matter

Not saying that all he says about the world is wrong, but geee, I think you know the answer to this whole charade.

Ofcourse he did some dirty stuff with these girls in sweden. He makes it obvious.

So, I know it's rude, but could you summarize the important parts in your opinion?

Did he mention releasing the "file"? Sure would be nice if he would just do that. Let the chips fall where they may.
