The Carrier Strike Group that has left once more towards an unnamed exact location in the Mediterranean, comprises the aircraft carrier USS Harry S.
Truman, the guided cruise missile cruiser USS Monterey, the guided missile destroyers USS Barry and USS Mason, the attack submarine USS Albuquerque,
and the combat logistic ship USNS Arctic.

"It"s difficult (to go back), but we"ve got a job to do," said Airman Erin Bentele, 23, of Silverdale, Wash. She is among the two-thirds of the
Truman"s 5,500 sailors who also were aboard the carrier when the Iraq war began in March 2003.
"We"re in it for the people back here," Bentele said. "We want to make sure we have freedom, and we want to get rid of terrorism."
Early in the Iraq war, ships in the Truman strike group launched Tomahawk missiles onto targets in northern Iraq, and jets taking off from the Truman
dropped bombs to support U.S. infantry and special operations forces on the ground. The carrier returned from that deployment in May 2003.
Please visit the link provided for the complete story.
This deployment is made to support our soldiers and sailors that are in the Middle East at this moment. Aside from any personal opinions on this, I
wish good luck to these soldiers and sailors who once more go forth to fight terrorism. I also send my good wishes towards their families.

Would you guys prefer if we just gave up and accepted every demand terrorists have made and will make?
Would you rather not fight and just run....thinking that terrorism is not going to strike the US or any other country anymore?
Even if we cannot get rid of terrorism, at least we are fighting it instead of running away from it, or ignoring it and waiting for more attacks on
the free world....

i could stop most terrorism tomorrow if i was king of the world.
first i would dissolve Israel.
second i would remove military bases from saudi arabia.
third i would stop all US aid to all countries.
fourth i would dismantle the UN.

Not even that would stop terrorism.....
Osama has mentioned in many occasions that he among many other radicals would like Andalusia back....Andalucia is and has always been a part of Spain,
except when the first crusade ever was done by the newly converts of Islam as they tried to spread Islam through the then western world.
Radicals also want Kashmir, and Jerusalem among every other place they conquered for a while back in the middle ages for themselves again. These
include Italy, and France...
And even if those were somehow given to them they would not stop there because radicals want the world to be ruled by Islam....so as you can see rich,
if you want to stop, actually appease is the word, terrorism you will have to renounce your Kingdom and make a caliphate where Osama or
another radical is the leader....
Oh and btw, i know you were just kidding but I wanted to inform you of the choices you had if your dream ever became a reality...

I wasn't aware that they didn't have freedom? Did I miss something here?

Do you think the fight for freedom ends after just attaining it? Do you think you must not fight to keep it? and much less in this world where
radicals don't want your freedom but only want you and everyone else to be ruled by Islam and Sharia? or are you one of those people that keep
thinking terrorism and radical Islamists are just made up by Republicans?.....and if you are neither republican or the nation does not vote for Bush
again terrorists will not try to strike again?...
Did you miss something? I think you are missing something, but perhaps you can't even notice what it is.
BTW, don't worry about what you seem to be missing, many people including members of ATS seem to be missing the same point.
The point is that you, me, and the whole world cannot ignore or try to appease terrorism, much less radicals. Clinton tried and we kept getting
attacked, Spain tried and they kept getting threats from Islamic extremists and attempts to more bombings... France tried since the beginning and all
they won was threats from terrorists and some of their fellows being taken hostages....
Some countries in the world tried to appease terrorism and all they got were more demands...and violence of course..

No offense __rich__ , but that's exactly why we should never have a person who is "King of the World". A phrase comes to mind: “Power tends to
corrupt and absolute power corrupts absolutely” - Lord Acton

Saint, you need to add a very important part to the quote from Lord Acton, it goes as follows "Great men are almost always bad men.'" - Lord Acton.
See my signature for the entire quote. This last part says almost everything. It is a very true quote considering human nature. I have yet to find
a person who does not get corrupted by power.
I have seen really good people with no lust for power get promoted to a position withen a company and do a complete turn around. I myself, although
not as bad, have fallen victom to it. It is human nature.
