Homeland Security's domain seizures worries Congress

We should have had more communication between the feds and local police all along. They were almost in competition before. This belittled our local police force when the FBI got involved. The concept of Homeland Security is good but like I said before, these agencies usually get a big head and think they are more important than our local police forces and honest citizens. I have a lot of respect for our local police. Sure we get one once in a while that is gun hoe and we also get some that are dishonest. The percentages of dishonest police around here are about equal to dishonest citizens. Well, maybe there is a little smaller percentage of dishonest cops than dishonest citizens when you think of it. I include utilizing legal crimes as a judge of dishonesty also. Loopholes in the laws that allow dishonest activity should be removed. Never happen though, we would be able to lock up half of congress for lying to gain personally.

Shouldn't it be hosting material without author's consent?

The web was designed such that pages linked to each other instead of holding the same material at each website.Using that standard, most of the web should be shutdown.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is seizing domains and taking down URLs in the name of copyright infringement, but its tactics are worrying certain members of Congress.

Not seeing the authority to do so thought DHS mission was to protect the homeland from terrorists so that kid sitting in their moms basement downloading an illegal movie or song is a threat to "national securiy" eh.

Yep never fails doesn't matter what agency they keep taking and taking power with no end in sight.

of course congress is worried ... if all the domains get seized they wont be able to get anymore pirated movies and music ... and they couldnt watch anymore online porn... then they'd have to actually do some work...

Meet the new DHS, same as the old SS. There's really no difference, DHS simply emulates and enforces the same principles of the Nazi SS with better technology.

The problem is they are making mistakes. Thats the problem.

They have been caught doing it, and wont answer for it.
