All this arguing over whether we have or will have socialism, communism, capitalism, crony capitalism etc etc is just a waste of time.

What we have and will continue to have is a government that is a tool for the few wealthy and powerful that want to keep their wealth and maintain their power and control. That has been the case regardless of what government you look at.

The political parties are really just the same. Were the bankers punished by Obama for their crimes? Or did he do what Bush did before him? Wake up democrats! Government will not save you from the elite. They use government and their puppets in government to do their bidding. Those in positions of power in government are always corrupt or corruptible.

And Republicans when will you realize that those corporations you give a free pass to because they are "free market capitalism" are destroying the "free market" using the very government the democrats worship. These international corporations are the new governments of the world and they don't give a damn about your "free" market. They want monopolies and their friends run the show in government.

Outside of political rhetoric you can't even hardly distinguish the difference between corporate and government, republican or democrat - know them by their actions!

Let me let you all (Rs & Ds) in on a little secret - this is all about CONTROL and you don't have it. "Your" guy is bought and paid for BUT not by you. "Your" guy will help his elitists friends at every turn. "Your" guy will lie to your face and say whatever it takes to get elected and then he will drive a knife in your back while you are high fiving your equally ignorant friends thinking you just won the game. The founding fathers were literally terrorists. This "great" country was founded on blood-shed. Twenty-three years in the US has been more than enough time for me to realize the "american dream" is not a thing, it is an unattainable idea spewed forth by those in control to keep us busy chasing the dream while they do what the f*** ever in washington.

This is a problem far greater than any one nation. This is a problem afflicting all the people of the entire planet. Governments do only enough for their people so that the people do not revolt. So that the government can keep doing whatever they want with the rest of their money. Did I agree to let the US government use so much of our tax money on its defense budget?

Governments are very much unlike their people, but they are very much like other governments, regardless of what they call themselves. Somebody always has to get butt-frustrated and upset at the notion that they might not actually live in the best country on the planet.

There are many resources for poor assistance you know, and I don't mean wellfare either. It is called a food pantry, look into it, there should be several really good ones at churches in your area, they won't feed you 3 4 course meals every day of the week, but they do help fill in the gaps, I rarely even use them unless absolutely necessary, as I don't like to accept charity, I prefer to work for what I get if possible. It keeps me honest, and fends off laziness.

Are you logging into the internet from a public library? If not, you are not that poor (compared to the rest of the globe).

I have found that most bakeries will give you day-olds if you are clean and respectful and ask nicely, explaining your situation.

In Portland, Oregon, this is Panera's policy. (Panera being a cafe chain that specializes in artisan breads) Actually, I don't think it's limited to day-olds with them. They will feed anyone who says that they can't afford to pay. (last I knew. I moved from Portland last September)

If you don't feel like donuts or onion rolls, Pizza Hut is willing to feed you, if you tell them you are broke and ask if they have an order mixup that they made sitting around.

You don't have to make it sound worse than it is. It's bad enough that we're stuck with the money system at all.

Socialism has been an official part of US governmental policy for quite a while, I don't understand why people hurl the term socialist like an insult any more, as if it were some shocking new development. Money I've worked for was redistributed against my will - is that not a forced socialism?

All of you fail to understand that not all political/social/economic ideologies are bad...the people who use them for their selfish means are bad.

Considering that the ones interested in politics are usually power hungry pricks they will always pervert the ideology they sell to the masses.

While you are trying to enjoy your life and family they are manipulating the ideology they sold to you for their benefit.


What you all have to understand is that ALL GOVERNMENTS CATER TO THE RICH.

It does not matter what country you are in they will always cater to the rich. It does not matter how strong yoru government is the rich will eventually buy out your government either by literally buying them out or by manipulating the economy where they NEED the rich either for advice, money or both. At this point in time it is all down hill for the people.
