Ok, wingsfan, two subjects I try to stay away from is politics and religion, in my opinion, they are both filled with greedy people with ideas of grandure, Politics, its who will pay the most? And religions, well, you can 't do certain things.....BUT if you go to church on Sunday and repent, and ask for forgiveness, you'll go to heaven(if there is such a place) Look at the signature....I have a hard time with that concept.

Nope. Liberals suck, and are the most intolerant and bigoted people of all. What makes them worse than conservatives is that they always play stupid games and hide their bigotry behind a cloak of morality. such as screaming racism over every single disagreement to shut honest discussion down. Conservatives have their bigotries and intolerance, but they're more straightforward and you know where you stand with them. No so with a liberal.

Look, its great that you have your own mind and your own opinions, but your answer to the O/P's question is hardly relevant to the context. Jobs going over sea's are a social issue and the political part of the answer is only a small segment in explaining the why of it. You seem to have forgotten to factor in things like greed, capitalism and a change in economics.

I'm really getting tired of you guys calling me a shill because I disagree with you.

Then stop making every single post anti-liberal/socialist and pushing conservative agenda's. The least you could do is take that mentality to a political forum, im sure it would be much better received there.

Why don't you learn that there are more possibilities than someone either agrees with you or they're a shill? Why don't you open your mind rather than create this false dichotomy?

I am more than happy to hear opposing opinions without getting my knickers in a twist but this isnt a thread about politics is it? You're obviously just using it to attack liberal/socialism so why shouldn't you get called out on it? You're technically trolling because your not contributing. Learn the difference.

At least in Texas, conservatives are not very open about their racism. Racism in Texas, which is in no way liberal, tends to be hidden now days and only expressed when people are among their peers. People realize that racist comments made in the public may cost them their jobs and scorn from the many conservatives and liberals who don't hold the same racist views.

On the topic, greed is the reason corporations go overseas. Why pay Americans a decent wage when you can hire children in another country to work for pennies.

That's the simple answer.

I'm not left or right, I tend to think for myself, therefore, I place no labels upon myself concerning politics. And I'm not a socialist, so with that being said, the people in power are NOT socialists. Far from it, Ace. Another thing, poor people are not the problem, and if you truly believe that, you've been misled. You should follow where the REAL tax money is going. And it aint to the poor. Nobody is trying to emulate Europe's system, that's just not true. Jobs are going overseas because of greedy bureaucrats, and corporate heads that don't give a damn about us, or the fact that they bombard us with cheap crap from cheap labor. THAT, my friend, is the simple answer.

Because they get to pay slave wages and have no restrictions on pollution or chemical dumping.

You realize the average Chinese factory worker is a slave don't you? They are paid...the equivalent of $ 0.13 per hour. They have to live on site in a dormitory and they work 7 days a week.

But yay for the Globalists! The got tariffs lifted and now they can sell slave made garbage to us consumer drones for pennies on the dollar and make billions...woo-hoo! Everyone should defend that shiz like it's gospel!

Up date to Digital Domain and all the government money given to them with the job stimulus by the Republican Governor in Florida also the City of Port St lucie and St lucie County. They now have closed the place and are filing bankruptcy. Seems all the 100's of millions given to them and now 14 million dollars loss and they file bankruptcy? It is a scam and they have done what they wanted using US tax dollars to get rich and move technology and jobs overseas.

Digital Domain closes Florida studio, CEO resigns

Digital Domain Media Group, the parent company of the Venice-based visual effects house, said Friday that it was laying off most of the 300 employees at its new animation studio in Port St. Lucie, Fla., and shutting down the facility. The company also announced that Digitial Domain Chief Executive John Textor had resigned immediately.

I always get told that liberals are not socialists or progressives and just want to give everybody a chance. So which is it? Either liberals are socialists or they're not.

Liberals are not socialist, they are liberals.

Liberals do not support worker ownership, if they do they are socialists.

Liberalism came from the middle classes, socialism came from the working classes. Liberalism was not a revolutionary movement for change, socialism was. Liberalism did not advocate a change of private ownership to worker ownership. Liberalism supported capitalism, socialism is worker ownership. Socialism is an economic system, liberalism is a sociopolitical system. Liberalism is pro-state, socialism is anti-state.

Liberalism is capitalism with state provided social safety-net, socialism is the workers ownership of the means of production.

The confusion comes from Liberals, starting in the 1800's, appropriating the term socialism for their own agenda.
The reason for that is the liberals wanted the support of the working class, which was predominately socialist at that time. That is the reason Marx used the term 'communism', and not 'socialism', to differentiate his socialist movement from the liberals. Much like the socialist who apposed Marx used the term anarchist.

"Liberalism is not socialism and never will be", Winston Churchill, 1908 as the Liberal Party candidate for Dundee

Liberalism is not socialism, and neither is nationalism as some try to claim.

What is the difference between "socialism" and "communism"?

In scientific socialist parlance, the two terms are interchangeable: both describe the classless, stateless society of free and equal producers projected and advocated by the co-founders of scientific socialism, Karl Marx and Frederick Engels.

Marx and Engels themselves used the two terms interchangeably. Initially they used "communism" to describe the future classless society because of the popular association of "socialism" with the Utopian "socialists" of that time. As Engels explained in his 1888 preface to the English translation of The Communist Manifesto:

"When it [the Manifesto] appeared, we could not have called it a socialist manifesto. Two kinds of people were regarded as socialists in 1847. On the one hand were the followers of the various Utopian systems, especially the Owenites [followers of Robert Owen] in England and the Fourierists [followers of Charles Fourier] in France, both of which at that time had dwindled to mere sects that were already dying out. On the other hand were the numerous social quacks** who, with their various panaceas and every type of patchwork, wanted to do away with social evils without, in the slightest, harming capital and profit. In both cases they were people outside the labor movement and looked far more for support from the 'educated' classes.

Funny update to what I posted in my last two post no one seems to find interesting. The Republicans are trying to play spin master with the news, But it is almost impossible with the record of what happened.

www.tcpalm.com...

The title of the story."Laurence Reisman: Hope, change, Charlie Crist and Solyndra: How they're all connected to the curious case of Port St. Lucie's Digital Domain and John Textor" is very miss leading. It is supposed to make you think it is all Obama's fault. But in reality it is Republican mess all the way. Hell Republicans eve got put on the board of Digital Domain after passing laws to get the Stimulus money for the place. The article even admits it is all Republicans involved with Digital Domain. But a headline for the news story hints other wise.

Looking back, there were signs of trouble. The secrecy in Tallahassee over the project. The campaign contributions Textor and his friends gave to Crist and Reps. Kevin Ambler, R-Tampa, and David Rivera, R-Miami, who spearheaded legislation that would expedite the state grant. Textor's efforts to silence online critics. And later, Ambler's ascension to the board of Digital Domain.

So how do all those Republicans connect to Obama? They don't. They did this all on the Republican party lines and when it blows up they try to blame Obama.

I happen to work for an American company in Ireland and I think one of the major reasons I am is beacuse of the low corporation tax rate. A lot of external companies take advantage of this, and I don't think for a second it's because we do the job better than anyone else.

It's all about the money.

Saying that, with the way things are in this country at the minute, and with another budget coming down the line, I'm just glad to have a job!

Yep. Typical liberal nonsense. If you don't believe the same way they do they'll attempt to browbeat you into submission and if you don't submit they'll call you a bigot.

Liebrals suck.

You can not have any kind of civil conversation with them without being called a racist or a bigot or a homophobe, unless you believe the same things they do.

And they will only be civil with you if you believe the same things they do.

Party of tolerance my arse.

Some of what "EvilSadamClone" says of liberal minded people is true enough in my experience. Of course, there are just as many crazy, illogical conservatives out there as well. Opposite views, similar reactions and attitudes.

People are people. Either they think for themselves, or are products of influence, and sometimes, a bit of both.

This thread isn't about political stances outright, so there isn't really any reason to bring that into the thread, is there?

So my question is, can you keep it on topic, or are you forced constantly to resort to political argumentation?

You made the claim that socialists were taxing everyone when in fact it is the liberals, you expect to go unchallenged? How many more times does it have to be explained that the dems are not socialists, they are liberals?

I'm tired of people misunderstanding and misrepresenting socialism. That IS the problem and you are a part of that. You are just spreading misinformation fed to you by the mainstream media and BS internet blogs.

You all think you're on to something but you're not, you are completely grabbing the wrong end of the stick, in fact even the wrong stick half the time. Sad because with a little open minded research you could become so much better informed.

I have a better question.
What would happen to all those multi national corporations if we cut our defense spending down to defense only as the constitution designates?

The world would be a less safe place for them to do business in is what would happen.

So why am I sending my taxes, American Lives etc to DC for corporations that show no allegiance or obligations to its citizens nor country, but were all supposed to be patriotic and die for them?

Also, since these Multi Nationals owe no allegiance to any country, then why should they have a say in our Government? What are they doing in our government?
