That's hard to give up, I despise the current crop of Democrats but I still view them as the lesser of two evils. It is ingrained in us to be Left or Right and though the Dems have shifted significantly they still aren't as far Right as Republicans. So I understand your position that knee jerk reaction or that condescension toward the 'other' side is so automatic.

I don't think dropping out of the game is the answer though, somehow we have to rally the people to demand honesty, integrity and carrying out the will of the will people. As you said, there will never be complete non-participation and that would leave the sleeping masses maintaining the only voice...though it comes in the form of duh.

I understand your point but, as I described in the OP, unless we ALL abstain from voting then one of these two is going to get the job….that’s a fact.

The second fact, which I’m 100% certain of, is that not everyone with abstain.
