The thing I like about Slayer is that he definitely has some .. different .. ideas, but he aproaches them with logic and is not completely rooted in some ideology where his goal is to force his opinion on you. He tells you what he thinks, backs it up, and lets you make your own decisions.

I know I'll never reach that milestone since WATS is based on flags, and I hate making threads. Ohwell, stars are enough reward for me.

I used to be a forum addicted and was a moderator, super moderator and even admin and owner of some boards in the past but my time is mostly spent offline these days. ATS is the only palce I still visit almost everyday. Just hate social network websites such as Facebook

Haven't posted in a long time, but just had to for this one.

I share the same sentiment as many of the posters above, in that a large part of why I signed up, was that I could be part of a community with members like Slayer.

Interesting subjects, and always in-depth.

It's a pleasure reading them, I hope they keep coming for a long time yet.

I actually joiuned to comment on one of Slayers many threads back in 08 but didnt have the balls to post because I felt way out of my depth, but thanks for that little kick up the ass

Slayer69 and ProtoplasmicTraveler are what made me join ATS. There was another guy, forgot his name - he had Bear in his name and always made survival threads, he made me want to join too. I think he may of been banned, not sure. But Slayer is one of the last Mid/old skool members whose still knocking out great content and staying between the T&C's, for the sake of us all!

my favorite is his "The Ancients" series
he's definitely ATS's Resident Pre-historian

and what emerges from it's depths is awesome

lets stay alert folks, don't want to sound paranoid, but i've seen
2 recent attempts at impugning his integrity, 1 involved trying to get his thread tossed in the hoax bin
