I know William Guy Carr was a liar.

He said there was a letter, it never existed.

He said the reverse of the great seal of the US was a symbol used by the Bavarian Illuminati. It wasn't, and as far as I can tell, he was the first person to say that it was, in Pawns in the Game, 1956. He doesn't cite any sources, and NO conspiracy author before 1956 ever made such a claim. The only choice left is that he made it up.
