Sadly in a revolving economy when the bread and butter of the nation has gone oversea (manufacturing) because the bad decision and corruption that runs in government, the only way to put a band-aid on the economic downfall is spending on keeping Americans employed.

The only way for the taxable income to fund the welfare state is keeping the economy revolving, but as more people lose the income in the productive class the welfare state keeps growing creating a shortage of Social programs to keep the welfare state happy.

Sad but true, if America falls into more economic chaos where the elderly lose their Medicare, SS and the poor lose their welfare we will have a full blown civil unrest.

It is very interesting to see how the government is trying to make everything look like they have control of the economic situation but they are not.

Democrats like to create big budgets for bombshells that never work and let remember who was on the top of the beginning of the death of the American economy with outsourcing.

Reagan was at the top when the outsourcing began that destroyed our economy. Do you not remember the television ads of the 80s where groups were asking people to buy American and stop the outsourcing of jobs? A time when at least a few Americans still fought to save the middle class.

We DO buy american but they are made in china with cheaper labor.

We have been importing our OWN merchandise for over 2 decades ago!

Chineese brand merchandise does NOT sell well in europe or the usa. They are called KNOCK-OFFS and the media tells us to avoid such merchandise at all costs because it is cheap and DANGEROUS to our health. It is AMERICAN-JEWISH corporate GLOBAL imperialism.

Why do people think the world trade summit was protested EVERYTIME by thousands of people and the talks offcially collapsed. It is/was one way traffic! Balanced trade would be ok(or perhaps excellent). Cheap labor is the key to the whole deal and determines where the jobs get outsourced to. Unions serve as a counter-balance and that is why the republicans want to destroy them and the democrats want to corrupt them.

Everything is rigged. Capitalism sucks. Be a socialist!

Sorry to burst the bubble but you can not pin one without the other, I been there and see it all, one political party is as big whore as the other one.

America is a corporate dictatorship and politics is nothing but a show for the blind to wave their littler flags of patriotism while we get all screwed after believing the politicians lies.

Romney, Ryan and Obama and partner in crime are nothing but Hollywood style politicians to make you feel all gooey inside.
depending who you favor.

History repeat itself.
The military budget HAS been cut to pay for Obama care and Romney or Ryan is lying about not cutting it.

Get it.

Maybe if they stop building so many tr-3b at area 51 and all those nuclear bombshelters(while millions unprotected get killed from soviet and chinese nukes)they would not have a problem funding the social services.

We spend almost 10 times more money on military than any other nation, with a 3 million strong force(half is reserves), and 25% of the budget seems to be black. Not good at all.

Windmills "cause costs" but Coal "creates jobs."

I'm already sick of this moron Ryan - and I haven't even bothered to do much of a background check yet.

Why is this a news story? Romney is a Progressive Neo-Con... and Paul Ryan is a Imperialist Nation Building Neo-Con. This is status quo for the "new" GOP. As far as Romney going to France to get out of going to Viet Nam... I don't blame him.

Mittens didn't think this country was worth defending during a time of war. What makes him think he is the man for the job as commander and chief? If WW3 were to break out while he was in office who's to say he wouldn't tuck tail and run again?

Of course they wont cut the INSANELY OUTRAGEOUS military budget. Republicans LOVE war and killing folks around the world.

Well, almost got through the first page without someone spewing partisan tripe. Can you guess what party our sitting president is a member of? Can you guess what his party keeps voting for? Can you also guess what he refuses to do? Hint: it begins with "kill" and ends with "people for oil". You only get one hint, sorry. But you're a smart guy, I'm sure you can come up with the answer...eventually.

/TOA

The president that started these wars was a member of what party? Yes members of both parties have no problem with war but even you would have to admit the Republicans scream for war the loudest. Which is laughable seeing how they try to pass themselves off as the Christian party. Guess they forgot about that thou shalt not kill thing. But then again Jesus was just a socialist hippie.

America could cut spending in half and still be outspending most of the world combined. What a chickenhawk.

You said a mouthful there. Instead they would rather cut programs that benefit Americans. It's more fear mongering to justify feeding the war machine. Our economy is on a downward spiral, yet they turn a blind eye and continue to feed our military budget.

The idea that a trillion dollars cut from our military budget would cause job losses is nothing but smoke and mirrors. The military has been reducing its expenses by spending more money on less expensive drones than manned fighter jets and we all know how many millions of dollars one jet fighter costs.

They're more worried about threats from Iran than the real threat of America's economy crashing at home. If they allow our economy to crash, having a large military won't mean squat! Our money will be worthless, and Uncle Sam won't be able to write checks to pay for military equipment or military personnel.

It's time our allies pick up the slack, and start defending their own neighborhoods. It shouldn't be on the backs of hard working Americans.

You know what's really bad for jobs? Outsourcing.

Romney is a joke.

Its good for the people who do get the jobs. Of course its not so good when its done under the condition that human dignity is beaten out of them for low low prices.

In my opinion the reality is that there is no limited government candidate. People often speak of the Republican Party as the party of limited spending and limited government, but that has not been borne out by previous Republican administrations anymore than Democratic administrations.

The Democrats will cut defense spending while spending on welfare, social security, medicare, and other social programs. The Republicans will cut those, but spend on defense, the Department of Homeland Security (which was created under a Republican administration, and is one of the best examples of expanding government power, centralization, expansion, and overreach in history in my opinion,) and other conservative voter tentpoles.

Neither party will deliver either the "change" nor the "smaller government and less spending" that they promise and claim to endorse. Just my two cents.

Well, when you are cutting everything else it only makes sense to not cut funding to the only people/organization that can save your butt when the peasants start revolting because you outsourced their jobs and cut them off from government help, and left them to die.

Romney is just like Walmart. In case you haven't seen it this movie shows how it wrecks small towns and uses slave labor.

You really know nothing about Israel do you? Look at how many times Israel has been caught spying on America. Israel has two terrorist organizations in America the ADL and the JDL. AIPAC has been caught stealing info so many times the members should be listed as foreign agents. Israel actively manipulates our political processes and financial systems. Even in our schools teachers are not allowed to criticized if they do they are threatened with their jobs and in some cases threatened with death.

Yes the government have a big budget on the "defense spending" but when it comes to the "military spending alone" is just a small part of the defense budget.

Contractors and government employees are all pay also with tax payer money majority are here in the US to revolve again.

The cuts are been done on mostly money used here in the US, oversea spending is not been cut, thats the money that the tax payer will never see coming back into the economy.

Obviously more so than you! So how is that a threat??? Name one Country we don't spy on? Russia and the former Soviet Union have been spying on us and just about everyone else for that matter since the days of the Cold War, are they a threat? Maybe you should research every U.N. and former League of Nations Treaties concerning Israel, and then attempt to explain away your ignorance. The United Kingdom conducts clandestine operations as well as Israeli Intelligence (Mossad) along with the us in this Country and abroad involving Joint Intelligence/Counterintelligence Operations. So how is that a threat "Ignoramus"???

And if you understand the term "Nuclear Deterrance"; you won't bother using the Cuban Missile Crisis as a past excuse concerning the Soviets and Cubans as a credible threat.
