He leans to far left to have credibility. Leaning to far either way shows you fell for the having a choice trap. When you are arguing about who they give all your money away to, it makes you kinda forget all your money is still be given away. For this being ats,i'm shocked by those who dont get it. Argue about all these things that dont better your life while they takeand take and take what we hAve......

Has anyone noticed that the people who earned their wealth seems to have no problem paying taxes? The ones that are always whining about taxes are the ones who inherited their wealth the ones who didn't work for it. Unless you call waiting for mommy and daddy to die working.

I have a little pet theory on this issue.

If you have earned your wealth, you are well aware that you can always make more money and you know how to go about doing so from previous experience.

Those whose wealth is inherited get worried about increased taxation of said wealth because, when it's gone, they have no idea how to make more because they have never HAD to go out there and earn it in the first place.

Just my own humble opinion...

I for one have a wealthy friend - to the tune of about 9 to 12 million give or take. Thing that pisses me off is this. He earned his money by being smart and aggressive. Now don't get me wrong here, I am not saying he needs to give more back in taxes - which I know he should. The real thing that pisses me off is that he and his wife to this day collect Social Security - yep - every month just like the rest of us that collect it. Now I personally have told him that it stinks and he should return the money - he in turn gets pissed and says he earned it - at which point he is right and can't argue that point.

Now here is another issue we get pissed at each other for. He and his wife have medicare - WTF - I mean I can understand the SS but the medicare I am even more pissed. He says - we paid in and we have it coming. And I say - you know pal if you lost half of your wealth your life style would not change in least - If I lost half of my wealth I am on welfare without doubt. Now he understands where I am coming from but could give two farts less.

You know that the right wingers say that if the rich get tax breaks they will reinvest. I am here to tell you that is a crock of bull crap. The retired rich (which growing more and more everyday) just want to be left alone in their own little world like my pal in his West Palm Beach private gated and guarded neighborhood with no intentions of ever again risking any more of his wealth to start a new business which he wants no part of LOL. And has told me so. So if all of you ass kissing Republicans think that the rich are going to reinvest in America - wrong.

Its simple. Romney and Ryan subscribe to the gambler's ethic. The Dems endorse the work ethic. Wall street or us! YES! Obama is pro wall street ( only a moron says he is a Socialist). However, Obama is "only" 85% for the leisure class and Romney is 100%. I am voting for the lesser of the two evils!
"Job creators? Give me a break!!! Their speculations created our current mess.

Do you realize exactly how much of America you covered in at least half of those bullet points?

Uh no, the majority of people are not sociopaths or psychopaths..

so·ci·o·path
   [soh-see-uh-path, soh-shee-] Show IPA
noun Psychiatry .
a person with a psychopathic personality whose behavior is antisocial, often criminal, and who lacks a sense of moral responsibility or social conscience.

I would actually argue that the majority of people living in the US lack a sense of moral responsibility or social conscience. Just the fact that many people consider a member of the armed forces automatically a "hero" seems to indicate this is true. You ever see somebody getting beat up for no reason in front of a crowd of frozen onlookers? They feel no moral responsibility to help when their numbers are in favor of a good outcome. Even the lack of responsibility people feel for the care and future of the Earth itself (our home) is truly terrifying.

Maybe they mean the internet. People are less inclined to hide their true thoughts when they are anonymous.

What does King know?

Seriously?

He's rich and successful living in a comfy plush biased life. No struggles, no worries, etc. I remember not too long ago he was asked what he thought about the explosion of self-published authors becoming successful with the twilight series and 50 shades and all that and he blasted it. Just like those who grew up in the 70's blasted the 80's, those who grew up 80's blasted the 90's. Instead of embracing the evolution of authors and the market, he sounded like a grumpy old man.

Same thing I get from this rant. Sure it makes sense and he's right about alot of it ...but this coming from a side lined couch potato. He's not out there witnessing the homeless under the bridges, the aunts on welfare, the uncles struggling to find work, the kids barely getting any food.

So we should just punish them for being rich by taking away 99% of everything they own and giving them to the lazy people who don't want to work because they deserve more than the rich do. Okey dokey, that sounds good to me.

Which is why I believe in the flat tax, with no loop holes.

It seems to me that some folks are quick to defend the financial habits of large companies in the US. IMO it is not just a matter of taxes payed by CEO's and returns payed to shareholders but a matter of fair pay for Americans that do work hard for these companies. Its not either CEO (good guy) vs Lazy non-worker (bad guy) situation.
