All you need to survive-Duct Tape

Forget all those guns, fancy survival kits and shelters, no need for a 4x4. All you need to survive is .... DUCT TAPE.

I agree!! Duct tape can fix almost ANYTHING!! I've fixed multiple pairs of glasses, broken picture frames, I've even hung things with duct tape "ropes"!

Duct tape, FTW!

I like duct tape, and i appreciate the effort mythbusters did with it.

But it still doesn't beat a good knife.

And you will eventually run out of duct tape.

Yeah I loved that Canadian guy, Red Greene. He could do anything with it. lol Anyone remember The Red Greene

Yup, I will eventually run out of bullets too. a good knife will last forever. But while the duct tape lasts you can fix lots of things. Heck I even once used duct tape to make a handle for one of my knives when the handle broke. It worked very well.

I am a huge fan of Duct Tape, yet it can not purify water or build me a fire...

Duct tape is a excelrnt item to have in your survival kit but, by no means is it the "end all" survival tool.

My daughter has found many uses for it. She is crazy about it. She makes wallets, purses, bags... It is pretty amazing stuff...

You should watch the full episode because it can do those things. It can be used to make a solar still and it can be used to make fire... Who'da thunk it???

No where in you post has a link to the video that proves that duct tape can start a fire or even purify water.

You can make a duct tape cannon!

In a life or death conflict situation, if you try to stab me, I will defend myself with a roll of duct tape. You'll stab the roll, I'll live, and then I have the duct tape AND the knife, and you... well, you'd better run, son.

I don't think the entire episode is online. It is definitely a must watch. I am sure there will be reruns. They have several duct tape episodes. They use it to make rope, boats, cannons, nets... They use it to repair a plane. It isn't the be all and end all but it is so versatile.
