This move came after Francois Hollande urged the Syrian opposition to form a provisional government, pledging recognition. However a day earlier in a meeting in Germany the opposition stated in was premature to form a new state.

"What is key is that the Syrian opposition unites and recognizes democracy, tolerance and pluralism," he said. "We support the establishment of a credible alternative to the Assad regime."

France will recognize a provisional Syrian government as soon as it has been formed, President François Hollande said on Monday, urging Syria’s fractured political opposition to establish one as soon as possible.

The revolutionary transitional government will be the hub for all fighters, politicians and military in the northern province of Aleppo where the formation has rooted. Whether or not this will receive international support from other countries is yet to be seen.

“[The Revolutionary Transitional Council] includes all those working in the revolution; civilians, politicians and military men,” one member of the newly formed council said in a statement aired by Al Arabiya television on Friday. The council aims to “facilitate the formation for a [wider] national transitional council to include all of the Syrian provinces,” the statement added.

In contrast, if we look at Libya and it's formation of a national transitional government in Feb of 2011, and it's march forward, we may see clues as to how the formation of a de facto government in Syria is recognized and proliferated.

However there are different circumstances surrounding Syria, namely Russia and China. Not to mention Iran's hand in the game and it's contributions too leading the non- aligned movement against what it calls a "Zionist occupation," which includes many members, observers and guests.

NAM has been making headlines especially in Israel where Mr. Netanyahu described the movement as a "stain on humanity." This comes after Ban Ki Moon accepted Iran's request to attend the NAM summit despite US and Israeli opposition.

The nations taking part in the Non-Aligned Movement conference hosted by Iran prove that many in the international community have not learned the lessons of the Holocaust, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday.

More smoke and mirrors....

"Those advocates who work for world peace by urging a system of world government are called impractical dreamers. Those impractical dreamers are entitled to ask their critics what is so practical about war."
