Sheepie
I'm ready to begin the post office debate whenever you are, just U2U me and i'll set it up

"The US Postal Service should be shut down"

You take the Pro... I'll take the Con. That being the case, you start the thread.

Good luck and I hope to have another fun debate!

I heard your delay involved catastrophic weather conditions (Tsunami?), so thats a good excuse.

No Tsunamis, but an (ex)-Cyclone, tornadoes and extreme flooding. Thankfully, i was not drastically affected by the disasters (my suburb was cut off from all others, and experienced temporary blackouts). Thankfully i am located on a hill...the same cannot be said for the other suburbs around me which were inundated with water peaking at around 15 metres.

In any case, the extreme weather conditions (along with their effects) are now gone (for the most part), and as such, i am able to regularly participate on ATS again

okie, you still up for that women serving in the military, can now enter combat debate?

I'll take either side.

We need to hash out the title, something like "Women in the military, combat ready?"

Let me know, and sorry for the delay.

Should be something like : Are women capable to handle major combat roles..

You'll have to define the difference between major combat, and combat. Frontlines, to me, means in the action. A firefight is a firefight, when the rounds are exploding all around.

Okay, I'll take the con position.

Title for debate, "Women in the Military, now combat ready?"

You better include links how they now approved women for combat positions.

Submitted for approval, officially.

Here's a good debate topic, inspired by This Thread.

I've invited NarcolepticBuddha to join us, the OP of the above thread, and present his position on this topic.

The premise would be:

"Does social media and smartphone technology bring us closer together?" The title can be reworked, of course.

Let's see if there's interest. Good topic, and it may bring us a new member.
