No Tsunamis, but an (ex)-Cyclone, tornadoes and extreme flooding. Thankfully, i was not drastically affected by the disasters (my suburb was cut off from all others, and experienced temporary blackouts). Thankfully i am located on a hill...the same cannot be said for the other suburbs around me which were inundated with water peaking at around 15 metres.

In any case, the extreme weather conditions (along with their effects) are now gone (for the most part), and as such, i am able to regularly participate on ATS again

Should be something like : Are women capable to handle major combat roles..

sounds good to me...I am willing to take either side as well

You'll have to define the difference between major combat, and combat. Frontlines, to me, means in the action. A firefight is a firefight, when the rounds are exploding all around.

I apologize for taking so long to post in this debate and the Atlantis one.

Here's a good debate topic, inspired by This Thread.

I've invited NarcolepticBuddha to join us, the OP of the above thread, and present his position on this topic.

The premise would be:

"Does social media and smartphone technology bring us closer together?" The title can be reworked, of course.

Let's see if there's interest. Good topic, and it may bring us a new member.

I can't recall a rougher Monday in all my life.......final post in the Postal debate should be up today.
