If you're not in a huge hurry, I'd be happy to argue that crop circles are a hoax -- since there are no aliens, it seems obvious to me, but I don't know diddley about the subject, so would need to do a bit of research.

Sure wish I was skeptical about something that didn't have me in opposition to 95% of ATS members, lol.

Alright. A revenge match with you would be fun.

The current consensus (as you can see on Wikipedia) is that crop circles are man-made hoaxes, so it should not be too difficult for you.

Take your time.

My second post in the "dull as dishwater" Climate Debate is up!

If I were adjensen, I'd be seriously worried. I passed on your offer because unless you actually saw aliens creating a crop circle, the mainstream says hoax. I'll watch that debate with interest, but huh-uh, you have something up your sleeve to take the con on that one.

However, you thrumped me previously, so I would not be opposed to another debate. Crop circles? I'll refrain.

Second post is up in the Doomsday Debate.

Back to you, vkey08. I tried to wiggle out of my corner, what do you think?

My motivation for doing the debate is wanting to find out and understand a number of things about crop circles. I may not stand a chance to win the debate, but thats secondary to my actual agenda.

You've an agenda on this subject? I knew it -- disinfo! disinfo! disinfo!

Okay, here's my opening: I tried to be a little tongue in cheek, imagine that.

I will take the pro side, since I have a personal interest in it. What is a challenge match?

Be gentle, it is my first time you know.

If you want to wait till next week after your other debates that is fine.

A "Challenge Match" is the standard format for our debates in this forum. Nothing special, really, just the way we do things here.

The title of the thread is "Challenge Match: nixie_nox vs Druid42: Voluntary Euthanasia and Assisted Suicide should be legal worldwide."

Since you are taking the pro position, you get to make the thread and begin with the first post.

Commence when you are ready.

I'm surprised that you didn't call Druid on his blatant use of a potato as a stand-in model for his "asteroid of doom" picture in his last post

Nice debate, both of you!

Well, the potato was the least f his concern's I could let it slide, esp, if he makes good homemade french fries from it..

What? You took an extra happy pill today?

(Your opening to the crop circle debate was a tad out of character!)

Now, you are seeing potatoes flying through space?

Do you want your golden brown fries with a few dashes of vinegar, or heaped with ketchup?

Nice job on the debate. I won't be surprised if you take that one.
