Well, the Discourse Challenge Debate is 1 post shy from being finished.

I'll ask the members to visit it, and add a few stars to the outstanding posts, merely so adjensen and I can do an unofficial tally. It's not eligible for judging, so there will be no other way to determine the winner, save a total flag tally.

Hopefully, we've covered the many aspects of gun control and weapon banning, but as a trial format, I'll say I had an interesting time in an informal setting, discussing a topic that is near to all of us.

I'll also ask the mods to leave it open for the next three days, before closing it. All finished debates need the closure, but 3 days will give members an opportunity to star posts, and after it's closed, adjensen and I will tally, and see who the "unofficial" winner is. This debate remains off the record, and is mostly just a personal challenge between two friendly ATS members.

No Pinke debate this week; tried keeping in touch with Druid42 but we mostly failed over the weekend!

Will try again when I have free time. I have some time this week I guess, but really unless it gets set up todayish (next eight hours) I could imagine time running out again so probably don't want to push it!

I apologize to my opponent and to the Debate forum for being slow to get my first post up. Not only am I busy at work, but we also had a death in the family. That entire situation has somewhat spun out of control and it has become more of a Jerry Springer episode than anything else.

I'm working on the post and hope to have it up today.

I have not taken that debate yet and need to concentrate on my debate with Son.

This debate will take a little more to judge. Ive contacted 8 people for judging, none of them are responding

I took the liberty of tallying the stars from our discourse match. A=17, D=26. D ends with plus 9 stars. That indicates that ATS members are leaning no regulation. Then again, it's hardly a valid indication of anything.

It was fun. 10 seemed a bit too long, but an interesting format nonetheless. The thread has closure now, so time to move on.....
