I have been bested by a worthy foe.
Congrats to Heff for the well deserved win! That was a fun and enjoyable set of debates, which told me a lot about your particular style. If not gaining a win, I walk away with something just as valuable, IMO:

Friendship and insight.

I could not be more pleased with the results.

It was a great debate series, thanks to both of you for some excellent reading.

And it spurred me to write this post today: Technical: Preventing the Robot Apocalypse because I'm not as optimistic as you, as to whether we can trust these forthcoming technologies.

Oh...I came at ya! Last post is up and we are ready for judging!

What a fun debate this was. I find myself stretching the limits of what I thought I could write. Thanks adjensen!

You broke my winning streak. Congratulations.

I knew you won the minute I read your closing post.

First debate in a long time where I actually felt beaten.

Good job.

Thanks, that was a well played debate on a subject that I really had to research to have much to say on.

I'll agree, wholeheartedly, with Skyfloating that public education leaves much to be desired... let's support our public schools and encourage them to give our kids the education that they deserve!

(Still not a "waste of time", though, lol)

Who's up for a debate? The forum is currently bereft of any ongoing debates...

I'll pose some random headlines from the news right now. Feel free to take either side.

1) The US should withdraw all forces from Afghanistan (Source)
2) 2012 Climatological records show evidence of climate change (Source)
3) Chuck Hagel would make a good Defense Secretary (Source)
4) Alabama not likely to relinquish its football crown anytime soon (Source)
5) Syria will bring down its neighbours (apart from Israel, lol) (Source)

In case moderators weren't aware

TinkerHaus and I are waiting for our debate to be judged.
Not sure whether you are having trouble finding judges or whether you didn't know it was awaiting judging.

TinkerHaus vs curiousrb

Sorry for being a hassle!

We are always aware of debates that need judging. The problem is finding neutral judges that havent already judged a dozen debates. It will take some time.

Fair enough! Once we get approval from a friendly moderator, feel free to post the opening at your leisure.

Okay, holidays are over...

I would really enjoy having a debate on the following title:

Reincarnation - Could it possibly exist?

I would really enjoy taking the pro position on this one but could also take the con.

Anyone up for a match? Or a re-match??

This could be Fun !!

~Son.

I'd be willing to tackle the con side of that topic, but I have been pretty selfish with the debates lately. So anyone else is welcome to snag it first.

Also, it seems as though we have a "log-jam" in the judging department. Perhaps we should let the judges catch up first....just a thought.
